Wow, dont know what happened with my post... sorry guys. 

I still dont understand why everybody cares who Lu is on... He's 38 and freakin 8!!!!!! If he picks ECU everyyyyyyyyyyyy singlllllllllllllllllle damn week, and its gotten him a record of 38-8, then let the man keep bettin ECU, and we will all be winnin money nonetheless. I respect the hell out of Lu and will never question any of his plays... 

BTW, Lu hows NC right now? I was home near Charlotte about 2 weeks ago for Fall Break and it was beautiful, but one of my buddies said its been gettin a little warm up there... Take care buddy and bol this weekend.

I remember Lu going against his ECU team in baskets last year. I don't remember him taking them once. So to say he only picks ECU in games is not accurate. He posts only their games so if they are superior spreadwise, why pick against them? For those who are jealous of his record, get a life. There are a lot of other threads on this board that you go and hate in.. Keep it up Lu! Your record is outstanding!

I agree...it is somewhat comical that ECU is the pick I'm on most of the time this year, but that's because they've been undervalued.  I mean...7 point dogs to Tulsa and they cover straight up.  8 point dogs to Southern Miss and they cover straight up.  7.5 point dogs to NC State and they cover straight up.  They were up in the 3rd quarter in what appeared to be an EASY cover against VT and completely collapsed.  Same with UNC.  They're just underrated in Vegas at this point and picking against them just to be a "good capper" doesn't make much sense.  They're 5-2 against the spread this year.

The UCF game is an interesting one.  My lean right now is ECU plus the points.  Go ahead and bash away, but UCF hasn't played anyone and when they have, they've lost.  UCF head coach George O'Leary is 8-31 against teams with a winning record...that's not against the spread, that's win/loss record.  8-31.

All week long the coaching staff at ECU and the players at ECU sound like the one's who have something they want to prove.  The defense has been excellent ever since the 2nd quarter began down in Hattiesburg against Southern Miss.  They're really growing up and you can tell that they can't wait to get out there and compete against the Knights.

I've listened to UCF press conferences and player interviews.  They don't seem nearly as fired up for the football game.  It should be noted that no one on the UCF football team has ever experienced a win against ECU.  They are 1-8 all time against the Pirates.  

The players on this team know how to win.  The majority have been on one of the back to back championship teams.  That can't be underestimated in terms of importance.  UCF, not so much.  

The Knights have feasted on some of the weakest links in college football this season.  Against common opponents (Marshall/NC State), ECU has performed better.  Look up the stats.  

Anyone looks great playing the likes of UAB, Buffalo, South Dakota, and Marshall.  They've hung in there with NC State and K-State, but unfortunately, moral victories don't count in Las Vegas.

The defensive line is the strong point for UCF.  However, with ECU's style of play on offense, that can be a liability rather than an asset.  ECU loves to draw defenses way up the field, then pick them apart with the air attack.  UCF's secondary is not good.  I expect them to get torched underneath and deep (if the o-line can provide the time). 

UCF can't keep up on the scoreboard, and when they have to play from behind, they'll turn the ball over and get buried in Orlando.

ECU +7.5 for 2 units is the play.

Lu, You don't seem as sure about this one as you did last week and the first couple of weeks.  This seems more like the va tech game.  You didn't seem positive but you had to make a pick and it resulted in a loss.  UCF has been much better defensively so far and both teams can score.  I respect your work and will continue to follow you.  On a scale from 1-10 how much do you like this pick?

I'd say I like this one as a 5 on a scale of 1-10.  There are lots of unknowns, but I think ECU is getting too many points.

Lu - I hate going against you, but the UCF defensive has visually impressed me (poor man's TCU). That scares me...I would have a small lean on UCF -7 (buying the hook). You are the man though.....I get nervous when you're on the other side. Let the best man win! Good luck Bro.

i have no play on the game, but i feel that ECU has the fire power to win SU...UCF has an outstanding D and their offense is clicking with Jeff Godfrey at the helm, but if this is high scoring ECU WILL cover the number...7.5 seems to bait people in to taking the dogs, but its the smart play IMO...this will either be 24-7 or 38-35 IMO....gl lu,

Who cares if your playing them every time.  You obviously have been on the right side each time except for one game.  And the reason is because, as you stated, they have been undervalued.  Don't let these people saying "you bet ECU every week" change you line of thought on bit.  GL dawg

On the other side of this one...I don't have much doubt that UCF will score plenty of points as Godfrey and the offense are getting better each week.  ECU gives up by the bucket on the road.  

UCF's secondary is not good?  Granted they haven't had the number of balls thrown at them that the rest in Conf USA have, but statistically, they are at the top of Conf USA in Pass Defense and Pass Def Effic, and it's by a landslide.  ECU faced two really good defenses...and lost big.  I don't see a rout here, but UCF's defense is nails.

I see UCF getting over the hump here...by dd's.

Regardless, Ruffin has impressed me to this point.  Transition has been better than I expected, whatever that's worth.  Biggest game of the season for both.  Hope I get it on the tube.

haha yea i commented muchhhhh more than that but the thread got messed up and thats the only line it showed.... i rewrote everything and its #52 at the top of this page... ive never disrespected anybody on this site, whether they deserved it or not, so i dont intend to disrespect a fellow North Carolinian nor disrespect one of the best NCAAF cappers here... sorry it came accross like that, bol to you this week
