Big in-state rivalry here- ECU  hates Carolina. ECU always has a chip on thier shoulder when it comes to ACC, and a lot of times is better squad. ECU always pumped for this game, big for recruiting in-state.

ECU probably bring 15-20K fans to the stadium, drunk and ready to fight anyone in blue.

Carolina down, defense will struggle with ECU's offensive set-up. This Tar Heel loading up on Pirates at 11.

Hmm Lu do you think this could have any impact on the game? do you think this means ECU is jacked up for this game, or do you think this provokes UNC to play harder? (ie possibly add on late points that could be a cover)

Rye, I think it's just a photoshop ;)

I think ECU coming off the bye week where they had time to heal up and focus on fundamentals, coupled with the fact that ECU sees this as an opportunity to win over a school they despise...I mean I can see the Pirates winning this game straight up.  I'm hearing out of the practice reports daily that blitz pickup has been a major point of emphasis for the past 2 weeks.  There have been some changes on defense, bringing in Lamar McLendon into the LB spot...

Every once in a while, I get a feeling on a game.  I've got that feeling right now about ECU winning this one in Chapel Hill.

Lu,

I know this may be slightly off-topic...but what's you feeling about VA Tech this weekend against NC State?  I know you got to see VA Tech firsthand a few weeks ago against ECU "turn it around" in the second half.  Then after shutting out B.C. last week do you think VA Tech has turned it around?  I'm considering betting them against NC State on the belief that they have righted their ship and are now playing great ball.  What's your take on them?  Any input would be appreciated.  Thanks.

Disagreed. I think they have a shot, IMO. I guess most people were saying that no way VaTech loses their 2nd game of the season to James Madison as a 33 pt fave....

It's really not that.  The line keeps moving in the direction I want it to.  Why should I feel forced to make a play?  I've stated several times that I'm leaning ECU.  I even went so far as to say I like ECU straight up at this point.  

That said, I'm making my call right now...and I love it.  LuDawg is going for broke.

ECU +13.5 for 2 Units
Over 57.5 for 2 Units
ECU ML +410 for 2 Units

I'm going to make my explanation simple on this one.  I don't think I was wrong on the VT cap.  There were things that happened in that football game that were anomalously uncharacteristic.  I am convinced I had that one right.  I don't think this version of the Heels are better than the Pirates and I don't think they should be favored. UNC is going to have to prove me wrong and I'm willing to bet a lot of money that I'm right.

Let's get this money.
