While im a big MSU fan i dont like our chances with that line. It will be tough after the emmotional high of Michigan but this team and specifically the defense is playing with a ton of confidence. Id rather have a great defense then a great offense. MSU either wins this str8 up or gets blasted imo. If i bet ill prob take MSU just cause of the amount of points. i believe Wisky is going to be very suprised with how good MSU's defense is. Are they equivelent to Bama or LSU, HELL NO, but neither is Wisky so I believe MSU has a shot. Im just not so sure im going to even bet it. I do like the Under tho. Sparty On!

Weather forecast changes in Michigan hourly.... temp I hear has gametime in the low 40's with temps slowly dropping into 30's. Winds around 10-20 making it feel colder, This could and probably will change.
Notre Dame is a very good team... they will run the table...including Stanford
Um no Notre Dame will not beat Stanford!!

Sorry there CHAMP, Mich St D is not only as good, but better than LSU's D. Mich St #2 behind Bama statisticly. So actually he know a little something about college football. Mich St + pts

Thats nice and all, but who has MSU played? ND beat them soundly and only gave up 13 points. They beat a way over rated Mich squad. Wow. The big thing people are missing is.....Why is the #15 team in the nation with a top 5 defense getting so many points for a night home game.....Its not like this came out as Wisc -3 or a pk....
Theres 2 ways to look at every game.
Michigan and Notre Dame are both at least 10 points better than anybody Wisconsin has played. While State did lose to Notre Dame it was still an impressive game from their defense. That was a very good spot for Notre Dame and the Irish were held to just 275 yards and really only 24 points of offense as they had a punt return TD. Notre Dame has not had less than 398 yards in any other game and 3 times have put up over 500 yards. Then shutting down Michigan last week was also very impressive. Just curious as to why you think Michigan was overrated? Because they played a bunch of home games and beat up on some weak teams?
This line is high because of the perception of Wisconsin being a juggernaut. They are everyone's sexy team that people have seen pasting bad teams in TV games. They have two stud RB's and a QB that is a Heisman candidate. On the other side Michigan State has looked inconsistent and nonexplosive. There is no way they could ever make this line -3, it had to be artificially inflated to the number it is at now. Michigan State has a veteran QB who completes a high % of passes. They can control the clock, play defense and make it a very competitive game. There is a reason this total opened at 47.5 and it's because this will more than likely be a grind it out old school Big 10 dogfight.
There is also another element to this game I don't see being discussed. In several of these high profile games this year where the top team comes in as a road fav, the home dogs (think LSU/Miss ST, LSU/WV, etc) were teams that have not been in those positions before and they wilted under the spotlight. That is not the case with a very veteran Michigan State team.
My .02.

No offense but it seems that the people who think MSU is going to win are blind. I've seen both Wisconsin and MSU play and Wisky is far more superior. Last time I checked MSU lost to week ass Notre Dame. You're right that Wisky has not really been challenged but MSU won't be a challenge for Wiskym, it'll be like playing Nebraska all over but on the road. Anyways GL people I'm going Wisky all the way.
I am not sure they're as good as the CornHusters.

Mark my words, Wisconsin wins easily by at least a TD...........No need to explain.....Wisconsin is easily the better team, if no one can see that, then you shouldn't be betting on football.

DO REALLY THINK COUSINS IS A BETTER PASSER THAN WILSON?
Wilson is a good as any qb if you dont believe so check his stats starting with his fr. yr. 19tds vs 1int and the longest consecutive completion record. He cant help the fact that NCSU was a horrible program. Well people say " his untested". He played very well against great defenses for 3yrs such as UNC, FSU, VATECH, MIAMI and FSU.
Don't chase today, there's always tomorrow in gambling....

I made the comment about the weather- the temp for the game will be in the upper 40's- Not cold by any measure and Wilson played on the road the last couple of years against Maryland and V. Tech in similar if not colder weather. The weather won't be a factor against Wilson in this game-
This is obviously one of the hottest contested games on this site- lots of good points can be made for either side- For those who laughed at Wisky's schedule so far- Mich. St's is not much better and they got drilled by Notre Dame- Spartan fans don't want to hear that- I can guarantee you Wisky would take that Notre Dame team to the woodshed- Now i think Mich. St. matches up better but in the end i think Russell Wilson is the difference maker here. If not i will be more than glad to admit i was wrong-
Good luck on your bet!

To anyone questioning this line.......do you really think they would even be anywhere near even action if this line opened at 3 or even 4? Hell no, action is heavily sided with Wisky at this line, it would've been damn near 90% if this line opened at FG.
andarmac hit the nail on the head with this one, public perception is Wisky is dominant, a juggernaut that won't even be touched until their bowl game. So laying a TD here to a team that hasn't looked as good should be a no-brainer. No-brainer's don't cover that often
Like I said in the other thread, I'm not putting my money on this game, one of the mooshes I take action for bet Wisky as his "Lock of the Century," so essentially I've got MSU +8 at +110, and I'm content with that. Good luck this weekend everybody!!!
