i don't believe they will for much longer. Hoke will be a winner imo.

Eh, had 1 good year at Ball State with a NFL caliber QB, then choked the MAC title game away

Had 1 decent year at SDSU, but beat up on most of the bottom of the MWC..
  • 4-7, DII Nicholls State
  • 2-10 New Mexico State
  • 4-8 Utah State
  • 9-4 Air Force (good win)
  • 1-11 New Mexico
  • 3-9 Wyoming
  • 3-9 Colorado State
  • 2-11 UNLV
  • 9-4 Navy in Bowl (good win)

and is under .500 in his career..

will have to see it to believe it.. don't see UM being competitive again until 2013-14

i think we disagree again with Nate being an NFL caliber QB, but we agree on giving him his standard 3-4 years to get his boys on the field. It is always hard to predict a coach's success/failure in a huge step up as this.

i disagree satnight... me and you seem to see things the same way, but I think Hoke is a good coach who will now have the talent around to prove it.

We have a quality team this year...expecting no less than 9 wins.

The Notre Dame spread is an absolute joke...went from -2 to +6


With OSU out of the picture, I'm expecting us to compete for B10 title....watch

homer alert..

9 wins is not going to happen with the change in schemes on both sides of the ball.. Hoke will get UM there in 3 or so years, but expecting more than 6-7 wins the next 2 years is a real stretch...

you are in for major disappointment if the bar is set at 9...

How is OSU out of the picture?  They are still playing games this year right?  After a hearing they may be ineligable for bowls and lose scholarships etc.  But they still meet on the field.

The best thing to happen to OSU for the short term, this season, is losing Tressel and Pryor.  Its no longer a 5 week relief position its a promotion.

Next man up!  OSU beats Michigan again this year, but will wait to see what happens in the future.

You were prbly "expecting" Rich Rod to lead you to the promise land as well right? Since then your D is still god-awful and DR takes one bad scramble and he's out for the year.

 Sure, you and the whole UM fanbase will love Hoke now before the season starts, but after another disappointing season, you'll be calling for his head. You'll never get the same recruits Carr got for you.

Greg Mattison. Look him up 

Hoke is smart enough to know to get out of the way.

You're talking about the 2011 season right?
Mich has a 50/50 chance of making it to a bowl this year.
They lose their last 4 games and to ND, so you're gonna have to fill me in on the rest of season...or at least how you see it playing out in fantasy land.

OSU and Michigan have taken major shots to the body

OSU-fired Vest and Pryor walks away, now have 1st year coach and four starters on the bench 1st five games.......you think guys like Pryor just fall out of trees?

Michigan-Again, 1st year coach, not his players, team in shambles.....

I'd be worrying Wisky, Sparty, and The Nittanys, if I were you.......

You certainly have a lot of faith in a team that has won 3 conference road games in 3 yrs..

Not to mention UM has 0 wins the last 3 yrs vs. teams that finished above .500 in conference play and now you're predicting at least 2?

Big Michigan fan here but no way we win 9 ty. Im thinking we win 4 or 5 but play better defense then last year and maybe win against a top flight team like when we beat Wisconsin in Dickrods first year there. ND should beat up on UM but maybe under the lights we can pull of a upset. Frankly we shouldnt have beat them last year really.  I like UM'S chances of a big time upset against OSU this year though, just because of all the changes in this years matchup.

completely agree here, i dont LOVE michigan, but at 15/1 i think that is great value for them to win the B10....Very possible that their game @ nebraska nov. 19th could decide the division,

Interesting to see they play San Diego St

Bet those kids will be fired up for that game.  Watch out for Lindley and Hillman.  Interesting to see if either defense shows up that day.

What that doesn't tell you is that they were robbed by the officials against two more bowl teams, BYU and Missouri. Or that they came within a score against #2 TCU and #23 Utah. Their worst loss was by five points on the road against one of the best teams in the country. And that's two years removed from being 2-10. 

I'm not a Michigan fan by a long shot, but I was very impressed with Hoke's work at San Diego State, and he did take Ball State on their best run in school history. Now I don't see Michigan being back this year, but I do think Brady Hoke will bring them back.

Agree.. think UM will be back to 8-9 win seasons in 2013-14 season..

Think the days are long gone of UM or OSU winning the B1G like in the 80s and 90s..

Could easily see 6-7 different champions over the next 10 yrs..

I would add 3-4 losses to that

Iowa, Ohio State, ND, and Purdue

No way in hell Meatchicken wins all of those 4

they might struggle with Minnesota too

I'll go out on a limb and say the wolverines get 5-6 wins maximum
