So I am sitting at the bar having a drink watchin the game tonight pulling for OSU to pull out a ML win for me.. ( Thanks IN4U )
Out of nowhere I hear some guy yapping about how Michigan is in for a very tough game with Indiana this weekend. He goes on and on about how the QB for Indiana ( Ben Chappel ) is really good and also very underated. So I check into it not having paid attention to the hosiers this season.
He has thrown 9 TD's without a pick and is currently tied at 10th in the nation. that's not bad at all! Granted he played games against Towson - Western Kentucky and Akron
Hosiers are now 3-0 which is a good start for them but going 4-0 is not likely as they havent beaten the Wolverines since 1987 and have won just once in 32 meetings. History is not on their side
Mike Shaw - the Wolverines 2nd leading rusher could be out of this game which would be a big help.
Robinson did injur his knee and had to come out of the game vs Bowling Green and has been limited in practice this week.
Michigan was lucky to beat Indiana last year only winning by 3 points in Michigan but other than that they have won by an average of 21.5 points
Makes me think this line is a bit too low based on the history and maybe they are trying to bait us into jumping on Michigan.
I also like the Over 65.5
Indiana D is terrible and Michigan has some issues as well being at 93rd in the nation giving up over 400 yards per game. This could be a shootout.

Check IUs rush D stats against the likes of Akron, WKU and Towson. 223 yds to Towson. 144 to WKU. 130 to Akron. Yeah they want to deal with this offense right now. Chappel is fine and Doss is an NFL player. IU will put up 30ish and give up 50ish. Stick with the over. Never cap half a game. IU isn't the only team getting the ball.

For the record I'm not betting on Mich. Just feel like you are looking at one side of the equation. Mich will likely dominate ball control, TOP and Robinson will do whatever he wants all day. Weather Looks crummy also which favors a run game which IU has none of.

Lastly IUs opponents all from small conferences are a combined 1-11. With Towson getting the best of Coastal Carolina in a shootout providing the lone win from the group. let's not pretend Chappel is putting these numbers up on the likes of Penn St or even a decent MAC team.

I have watched all the Michigan games and parts of the Indy games and your right this will be shootout. Check the injury and weather reports and if everything looks okay this game should have around 80 points scored in it. Indy's defense is horrible and Michigan can name its number if they want to. Michigan has been weak on defense as well and Indy will score some of its own.

You learn more from losing than winning. You learn how to keep going.

This is a Big Ten battle, look for a lower score similar to Mich/ND game a couple weeks ago, where Mich won 28-24, I'm pulling for the hoosiers, there wouldn't be nothing better than seeing mich take a loss here, Denard Robinson is probable and should be limited on his speed which will in turn keep them from scoring a high total IMO, but michigan should sweep the floor with the hoosiers this week. i'd be careful on the spread, if mich defense comes to play then IU might not even get on the board.

Love the over. just wondering why you think this line is so low
it screams take michigan. I think we can agree that anything that looks too easy usually is.. Hopefully the recent injuries to mich will slow them down to maybe just 40 this weekend.

I think it would be hard to see them come to play even though this is their Big 10 opening game. No one seems to ever care about the hoosiers. I just think this line is way to easy.. Smells fishy
where as the total seems to be pretty close to what it should be
Mich gives up 41 a game avg with Indiana about the same..
But with the injuries to mich maybe they dont score as much
so that has me a tad concerned. But glad you are pulling for the Hoosiers budd... GL to you this weekend
