It’s been years since I’ve posted here, but I felt compelled to do so after this debacle. This outcome was the most blatant attempt by a coordinator to influence a game that I have seen in years. The first half total, game outcome and total were all meticulously controlled by this POS.
The first half was actually laughable. Here was the script: 1st down run, 2nd yard run, 3rd down dump off. That was the first three drives. When he finally allowed Locke to throw downfield, he completes a 50 yard pass to the ten and does the same thing to set up a FG. With 2 minutes to go in the half, they intentionally ran out the clock while losing ... with a top 5 QB in the nation!!!
This only changed when OK State started pouring it on. The last drive was a comedy of intentional errors. for those who missed it, Missou is down in the red zone with a 2nd and 2 (2 minutes left) ... he puts Locke under center in a goaline formation (haven’t seen all year with their offense) and runs a dive two plays up the middle for nothing and a QB bootleg on 4th down knowing Locke has cement shoes. All of this with a QB who will be a first or second round draft pick.
It was literally a script that was written to follow. My only question is whether they were attempting to influence the Ml, the total, or both!? Like many of you, I got fu**ed with 72. Luckily, I realized the script late in the first quarter and pounded Ok State in game.
Again, this staff should be investigated. It was reminiscent to their Kentucky game earlier this year when they were up big at halftime and then failed to get a single first down the entire 2nd half with similar play calling to this.
Complete horseshit ....
End of rant. Happy new year everyone ...

Yes. Exactly how I saw it. Mizzou hardly ever goes on goal line, bunch formation... but with 2 minutes remaining, they decide to run down the clock and chooses their cement footed QB to run on 4th and 1. Garbage.

Look I dont buy all that corrupt or scripted BS. But Mizzou not going for 2 down 10 is incredibly bad coaching. Its unbelievable that they did that. Thenannouncers were surprised and then never brought it up again.

Been wagering on CFB for nearly 25 years. The play calling was as deliberate as I have seen in all of that time. To watch that game and think otherwise, you are either 1) blind 2) ignorant or 3) both.

I don't believe in the scripted conspiracy stuff but there is no doubt that was some of the dumbest coaching I have ever seen. You have a first round draft pick quarterback going up against a trash big 12 defense and you refuse to go for it on 4th and shorts, refuse to go for two, calling those two timeouts in weird situations that were meaningless. They had over 600 yards, it wasn't like it was that big of a risk to go for 4th and 2 instead of kicking a field goal.
It was pretty crazy. I have no clue what he was thinking.

I have been for about 8 years now... and as I never want to think the game is thrown.... BUT.. I have watched that offense put up numbers on top 10 ranked defenses and not have play calls like that at all. You have a defense across from you that you could literally hang 50 on yet we play conservative ball. I just didn’t get it. It was so irritating losing my 6 team parlay bc I had Missouri mL.

I hope for the sake of their children and offspring that they WERE shaving points. Cuz if they weren't, then they are retarded. Down 16 in fourth qtr and u score a TD, it's AUTOMATIC go for two. But he not only changes his mind and iicks extra point, but wastes a timeout on the decision!!! It's standard. So he kicks extra point and guarantees they are still down two scores. Very strange. And of course the play calls were crazy.

For those on here that are simply chalking this up to bad coaching, then I have a bridge to sell you. Dooley may be an idiot, but now he’s an idiot with a vacation home on Bora Bora ...
