wait a dam minute.......so that W Tibbs IS Big Daddy?........
Like you have not figured that out yet, and it is also Pecadors boyfriend. Chit around here will never change my friend. Boom came and made a post that was not confrontational at all and the motherfrickers have to start there attacking, and continue to do so when he asked them to just go away so the thread does not get cluttered, but that was to much of him to ask obviously. Hope all is well with you in the great state of Tejas. :) I will be in touch! :)

Happy to see Oregon, TCU and NC State make your list ...Pretty high on all these teams this year, as I feel each could cause trouble and their respective conferences...
Not sure why anyone would have trouble with you putting Clemson at number two they've earned it and besides as you stated above this is your list right now not where you predict the schools will finish.
Wondering how close Missouri is to your top 25 also do you see them having any chance at winning the east???
I too thought it was a joke that Ohio state made the playoffs last year ahead of Penn State who beat them. Glad your boys shut down the Buckeyes basically proving our point...
I also am skeptical of Notre Dame and need to see them prove it on the field and not just on paper.
Enjoy your summer brother great to see you around these parts.

I have not received a response from Mr. "You don't know who I am" on my offer. I can assume either it is too much money for, or he is a paper tiger and isn't willing to back his mouth up with money.

*a few teams might be favored head to head (but he said it's not a PR thing).....
Arguably.....the team that won it all the year before should begin #1 the following year......(in an AP style rankings) < I might agree with this
Sup Bookie...
These guys are either slow, stupid or young....or all
What college football have these clowns been watching for the last 6-7 years? Alabama has been the best team in that time frame.... with Clemson being 2nd...
Did not both teams just play for back to back national title games?...and split them both? Both games going down to the wire and could have went either way?
I didn't post during the regular season last year because of what this forum has turned into... ( children )....
it's a shame.

Missouri is another team I need to see to believe. They have been very average to borderline bad for the last few years.... Well... they did roll into the SEC east and win that thing 2 out of the their first 3 years...LOL, what a joke

The longer I think about it.... the more I want to replace Tennessee @25 with Florida.
Florida instantly becomes better with Zaier at QB..... INSTANTLY
It's amazing to me how bad the SEC QB's as a whole have been for the last decade...
LSU and Florida are truly head scratchers.... How can you be the big bad LSU....and play the guys at the QB position they have over the last 10 years??? How is it possible? Hell.... they have even went to raid QB's from Purdue trying to fix their problems.... Florida too...

AP STYLE RANKING is clearly the key here ....
These numbers are NOT Boom's Power ratings or predicted finish
DEFENDING Champ often gets some benefit of the doubt when it comes to following years rankings ...
I have Clemson Losing 3+ games this season ...ACC is tough and the schedule is NOT kind ....Playing with bulls eye on back in new era of LIFE WITHOUT WATSON
..
HIS TOP 25 is very solid IMO ...
Would LOVE TO SEE EVERYONE else who is in here POST THEIR OWN TOP 25 ( ap style and Power/Point Ratings)

If this is AP style and not power ratings and last years results have an impact on your rating like you mentioned about clemson, then could you explain your rationale for Oregon (4-8) and TCU (6-7) being top 20ish teams already in the preseason?
I think both those teams will be much improved, but why would they be ranked in an AP style poll ahead of team like Florida (9-4) in the preseason?
Just curious on your thoughts there.

Go back and read what I wrote.... Nowhere did I SAY these were AP style rankings.... Double said that, not me.
Go read post #1..... I said this is how I would rank them...
in a nutshell.... my rankings are based on the knowledge at hand we currently have now.
I think going INTO the season that Alabama is the #1 team if were ranking them...Clemson is the 2nd best team in the country.... so on and so on...
Power rankings / AP / Whatever.... I don't care about any of that...
My top 25 reflects my thoughts on who I think the best 25 are based on what I know.....

I Apologize for taking your post out of context.
I respect your opinion so im still just trying to understand your rankings.
SO PLEASE CORRECT ME IF IM WRONG:
In your opinion Oregon is the 20th best team in the nation and florida is not rated (or possibly 25th) so that means you think, more times than not, Oregon would beat florida on a neutral field if they played week 1 at full strength, just based on everything you know about the 2 teams right now?
(just using Oregon as an example because im curious why it seems ppl are so high on them)
If this assumption is not correct, and these are not "AP style" or "who would beat who" or "how the season will end" but is just based on your "knowledge at hand" then I guess I do not understand your rankings but BOL this year

To answer your question about the Oregon / Florida situation.... think about it like this...........Yes and No
In college football I think you typically have about 4-6 teams who would beat the entire field 95% of the time...
Teams who are ranked on my top 25 from about 7 - 15 hit or miss are in another group..... about 16 - to maybe even 35 are in another group...
Yeah, I think as of today Oregon is slightly better and would win that match up more times than not... but it's not a certain they would.... I had to separate them in my rankings so I favor Oregon slightly based on my knowledge.
College football is SOOO much different than other major college sports.... Usually your best 5 or 6 teams would wipe the floor with everyone else... it's so much different then college basketball....whereas a 12 seed can/and does beat 5 seeds routinely..... to put that into football terms it would be like Duke having to beat Michigan st.... Duke isnt any good.... maybe the 70th-80th best team in the country... and Michigan st might be somewhere around the 30th best team.... way more times then not Sparty beats Duke.
I know all that sounds crazy...but it's the truth.
So yes.... Oregon IMO is slightly better than Florida..... but im not certain of it just yet... LOL

though bill connelly said it best when he said this
"College football isn’t quite as lopsided as men’s tennis — where Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, and Novak Djokovic have won 44 of the last 54 grand slam tournaments — but CFB’s still very much in the era of the Big 2.
National titles since 2006:
Nick Saban and Urban Meyer 7
Everybody Else 4
It felt significant that Dabo Swinney’s Clemson took down both Meyer’s Ohio State and Saban’s Alabama to win the ring last winter. It was the culmination of a decade-long ascent for Swinney and the Tigers.
Congrats, Dabo. Now do it again. You’ve still got some catching up to do."
arent orange glasses funnny looking?? seems to me they would be =)

Clemson minus Watson at FSU will be a Loss. FSU should have beaten them last year in Death Valley if not for one of the worst calls I've ever seen in my life.

Clemson minus Watson at FSU will be a Loss. FSU should have beaten them last year in Death Valley if not for one of the worst calls I've ever seen in my life.
"When FSU was up 28-26 with under 12 minutes left, Cook broke a big run and was downed deep into Clemson territory. It appeared the Seminoles were close to taking total control.
But there was one problem: a flag on the field. FSU fullback Freddie Stevenson was called for an illegal block on the play.
Fisher was completely incensed on the sideline over the call, at one point standing several yards onto the field. Some part of the fallout resulted in a sideline warning and a subsequent penalty for 15 yards to back the ‘Noles up even further into their own territory.
"It was ridiculous," Fisher said. "It was not a chop. It was a not chop. I will tell you what: you hold coaches accountable, you hold players accountable; hold the damn officials accountable. It is garbage, and then to call another penalty on the sideline is even more garbage. It's cowardly, gutless, and wrong.”
Fisher was also unhappy about hits on quarterback Deondre Francois, and he lost defensive back Trey Marshall to a targeting call.
"They can take it, fine it, do whatever they want to do with that. That's a fact. Look at the film. It's ridiculous that they do that. That was a huge call in the game. Now, still had chances to win the game after that, [but] that was ridiculous, and the guy wasn't even in position to make the call."
