One Problem: If Claussen stubs his toe again they are screwed....those jokes behind him couldnt muster jack shit against washington state.
2nd string QB Crist threw a laser, best pass I've seen by an ND QB all season for a touchdown. The pass was so perfect that I think it took Goodman by surprise. The problem is, Crist injured his knee in the game and probably won't be available to play. Sharpley will most likely be his back up for this game. Even if Clausen stubs his toe again, he won't come out. He will play, he is tough he plays through pain. There was just no reason for him to at that point last week. Good luck bud

Good stuff Whodey. Lets have another week like last one....
Thanks man. I'm working on that. I am trying to convince myself to stick with the plays that I have this week already and play nothing else. I don't know if it will happen or not.

Two things always happen when navy plays notre dame. Notre Dame wins and navy covers.
Notre Dame won and covered @ Navy last season
They were up 27-7 until the two garbage touchdowns in the last 2 minutes for Navy. Notre Dame wasn't nearly as good last season as they are this season. Navy pretty much has the same team. That little trend they have is quite funny I might have to go back and check some of the lines. I doubt very many were this small.

Again...dwelling on the past. I'm looking at the present. Trends mean absolutely nothing to me and never will. I've went against guaranteed bullshit trends several times to win. Only last season really matters when trying to get any kind of information for this game. Again and that barely matters. So dwelling on the past and past trends and whos covered where means nothing and will always mean nothing to me.

This is a good thread with a good debate guys. Another couple of factors that need to be mentioned here: 1.) The game that Navy played against Temple last week was a grueling, brutal fight right down to the end. The contest featured six lead changes and was lost by Navy at the end. That has to be disappointing for Navy to suffer a loss in such a manner, which will affect this upcoming weeks performance.
2.) Notre Dame so far this season seems pretty much incapable of covering a spread. They have covered only once all season since Week # 1!!!!!!!! And that one cover required two unanswered touchdowns at home against rival USC to keep it inside double digits. The reason I bring this up is because I think it favors backing Notre Dame. It's hard for people to continue backing the Irish when they have burned money this season faster than Sharon Stone in the movie Casino. This prevents the line from exploding to over 2 TDs.
These two factors I think are important when making a decision on this one. Let me know how you guys think it'll affect the spread.

You probably are right there might be a few. But I bet a couple are quite large. I'll find them all for you.
No need. They were 6 in 04 and 8.5 in 03. Look navy is just one of 10-15 plays I will make this week for 1 unit. I dont want to give you the illusion like I think they are a lock. I just dont understand you making a big play here when clausen, allen, floyd, parris, robinson(starting OL) are all hurt. I dont exactly see ND offense clicking on all cylinders here.

Navy losing to Temple is absolutely hilarious. I know Temple is improved but get real. They should have won that game. The last time Notre Dame played a heavy rush team week 1 they lit Nevada up 35-0 with Floyd who had 4 catches for 189 yards and 3 touchdowns. Vegas has set the line to get action on Navy.
This is an easy week for Notre Dame. Just like UConn will be in 2 weeks.
