Got to go with you on this one Boom...Look, im as BIG as a OU fan as there is but, i cant let a loss at home to a 28pt dog acceptable. I dont care what happened (rain delay, injuries, flu bug.etc...)and actually, all 3 of those apply here but Tech sucks TOTAL ASS...as evident by them losing at home to a sub par Iowa St. Watching the Red Raiders after the game, you would have thought they just won the NC. They know that OU was reading their press clippings and expected a cake walk.
All that being said, I dont think OU makes it to the NC.Well, let me say i HOPE that they dont make it to the NC game. Not saying they would get smoked but Bama,LSU,and maybe Stanford would give them fits. I DO think that they win out (a shootout in Stillwater) and probably go to the Fiesta...Which i will gladly accept!!
Good Luck this weekend
I actually agree with you and Boom on most of this........it is astronomically unlikely that OU or any other one loss team at this point is going to make the NC game........the point I was trying to make is that with a third of a season left, saying anyone is "done" is a touch premature. I'm sure alot of people thought the Cardinals were done in September too.

Whats up man I remember you backed me up a few weeks back on that Clemson +7 @ VT when that guy said Hokies by 17. I didn't know you had a thread going on here but looks pretty good and your beating ass. Nice man. Anyway, gotta say I couldn't agree more on Arkansas -4.5 this weekend. I am actually going to say this is in the top 3 or 4 bets I have seen in CFB so far and obviously will be betting it. Arkansas owns SC and has beat them like a drum in the past decade. This line is WAY off. (And btw, I promise to the other guys reading this- This has nothing to do with being a Clemson fan at all) Take away the Kentucky game, and you have a team averaging 21 PPG in SEC play. Take away the UGA game, and SC is averaging 15.5 PPG in SEC play. Horrendous. They honestly remind me of Clemson's team last year. Inconsistent Quarterbacking + Offense but have a great defense. This will come back to haunt SC in the end I will guarantee it. SC has an excellent run defense but their pass defense is actually not as good as their stats (2nd in SEC Pass D) suggest. They have not faced many great QB's and/or offenses yet on their schedule. Go look at conference stats and you will find Tennessee between 8-12th in every statistical category in the SEC besides passing yards (B/c of when they had Bray). Tennessee is improving and I do like Dooley, but the reality is they are not yet back to top 50 team status. TENN has the 12th run offense in the SEC and b/c of SC's ability to stop the run, it was a good matchup for them. Even without Lattimore. This week will not be the same story. Arkansas slid by the past few games but they will be ready for this game (one that matters). The Hogs have been very efficient on offense and SC cannot even put up more than "13" on Auburn or "21" against Vandy. Both home games too. In Arkansas' worst offensive performance, they still put up 14 at Alabama - which is allowable. They will put up at the least 24 at home vs South Carolina. SC will not be able to match it. Brandon Wilds will not be the same vs Arkansas and SC's run defense won't effect the game as much b/c Arkansas PASSES.
--> At the least... HOGS 31 - SC 20
I like your other bets too but I doubt ill do Baylor. I like the bet I just don't quite know how good they are yet. I haven't watched them too closely.
Some bets I like
- Toledo -8.5
- UNC by -3
- Maryland -1.5 ..think they get a needed win at home
- Michigan -4
- Louisville/WVU Under 51.5 (maybe Lville +13.5)
- Kansas St +21
- Stanford -20.5
- Louisiana T /Fresno Over 59
**BTW - Garner I saw your post on Dabo. Not true at all. Georgia Tech prepared very well for us and we lost. Against a team like GT, if you go down its very hard to come back. GT had the ball 39 minutes and CU only 21. Bellamy and DJ Howard both had crucial fumbles and had an effect on the game. We had 4 turnovers and only on offense 21 minutes --> still had 17 points. Could have even got back into game late without interception/mess-up between boyd and watkins in end-zone. Remember our team is very young. Clemson linebackers are not Miami's. Our DLINE did not play bad at all but our LB's werent fast enough around outside.

Ahhh....I get it. What you're saying is that, with 4 games left in the season, it is not possible for any team other than Bama, LSU, Oklahoma State, Stanford and Boise to play for the National Championship, correct?
In the words of Steeley Dan, "The things that pass for knowledge I can't understand".
In the words of Boom_Boom...... Stick around and I'll teach ya something.

One thing you still haven't learned-Nebraska and Martinez aren't a passing team. Who cares if he doesn't have a good motion. Ever heard of a couple guys named Tommy Frazier and Eric Crouch? How about Charlie Ward and Tim Tebow?? He's a running qb that will have over a 1000 yds this year. Neb game planned all along to run Birkhead all day and not Martinez as Mich st shut down Robinson and other running qb's. Triple option is back in Neb and it's working, like it or not.
Agree with all 3 of your picks so far this week.
yeah man... But still.... this kids throwing motion is almost comical

I've been reading your threads for some time and enjoy it every week. I'm glad theres not like 20 pages now just because you lost some games. Let the haters keep hating. Absolutely love Bama/LSU under 43 and Arky-5. Clemson got me last week, I was just suprised with their offensive showing. Did anybody see the miracle cover by Stanford in triple OT, that was must see tv. I think Stanford has covered every week this year and might do it again -21 to Oregon St.
where ya been? Haven't seen you in awhile?
Gl This week

Look man Chill!! Your making comments about Virginia and Miami not having a problem with the option without pointing out the fact that both of those games were on the road and Virginia had 2 weeks to prepare.... Believe me when I say this, It matters to get a extra week to prepare for that Option. Miami is built to slow the option down... not stop it... but slow it down. I think if Clemson gets another shot at G.T they will beat them like they did last year. PLAYING ON THE ROAD IS TOUGH

I think Florida will blow Vandy out this week. I don't see it being close. I am not a Florida fan either I just know that this Vandy team is going to struggle big time in the Swamp.

boom you don't get it. I am not arguing about extra prep time and playing on the road. I'm simply asking why in the world are you calling me slow?
I've never bashed you, attacked you for any reason. Yet you feel it is okay to call me slow?
Who cares??? How many times you gonna ask him if he thinks your slow??? Is it bothering you that much??? He's busy capping games...Obviously hes busy doesn't care to respond so if you don't get that - then maybe you are slow.
Let's get that paper BB... BOL this week.
