Boom, I appreciate the hard work that you dedicate to the forum each and every week man... great stuff
What are your thoughts about Stanford this week? This may be a statement game against Oregon since the BCS screwed them by keeping Bama ahead of them.

But for the failure to execute and an idiotic penalty, Alabama should have found the end zone 3 times in that game.
The first was when Brandon Gibson was standing all alone inside the 5 yard line on the west side of the field, but McCarron never looked at him.
The second was Chapman's completely unnecessary block in the back on Barron's interception. That gave Alabama a 1st and 10 at the LSU 35 instead of a 1st and goal from the 3.
The last one is the Maze to Williams play that you mention. What people aren't talking about is how easy of a TD that would have been had Maze thrown the ball to the outside (away from the coverage) instead of inside (into the coverage). Williams was running a corner post with no one covering him. Had Maze led him to where the play was suppose to go (to the outside), it's an easy TD. Instead Williams had to twist around and catch the ball behind him. That allowed Reid to make a play on the ball.
That said, if you watch he replay Reid had neither hand on the ball when Williams hit the ground. His right hand was wrapped around Williams' waist and his left forearm came down on Williams' chest as they hit the ground.
Alabama moved the ball pretty effectively the entire game. They just weren't able to make the plays when they counted the most. A lot of credit has to go to LSU's as well.
Even though I think that Alabama and LSU are clearly the best two teams in college football this season, I think a re-match in BSC national championship game would be a disaster for college football. Alabama had their shot. They clearly should have won the game but didn't. I think another non-SEC team should get a crack at LSU for the title.
I agree that the forum has gone downhill. Seems like a lot of the quality posters have moved on.

As a Bama alum, and insider to the program. I think MSU is a great play this week. Just saying...
And Jimmy...what a hell of a weekend huh?
