Thanks to Train and his help with the college picks, I am +47 units. This is NFL & NCAA combined. My units are $25 and most of my bets are 1 to 4 units, though I did hit a 20 unit ($500) bet earlier to help my total.
I worked in Vegas for a few years in the early to mid 90's. I would like to share a few things I learned there and since:
** Lay off the parlays. The bookies make a large % of their money on 3-5 team parlays. This is especially true for local bookies that count pushes/ties as losses.
** Always bet against the MNF winner the following week.
** Lean toward the UNDER in mid-week (Tues.-Fri.) night games.
** Lean toward the under more as the season enters the 2nd half.
** If a college team changes coaches mid-week, BET on that team in the following game and lean against that team in their 2nd game, after the change.
** Stay away from "free picks" from those that are trying to sell you picks! Thinking that they will give you free winners, so you will pay them in the future, is wrong. They know you are more likely to pay for picks when you are in the hole, not when you are winning $.
** Don't trust anyone (Train69 included) for all your bets. Make your picks before you start looking at what everyone else thinks. Then use their knowledge and expertise to tweak your picks.
And most importantly, don't be giving grief to the people you follow for picks and advice. You are the one that placed the bet.
BOL to all and know that Train69 is as good as there is in picking college football games ATS. 55% is your goal, 60% is out-frigging-standing!

I leaned Iowa/MSU under initially but layed off, feels like both teams can move the ball...well....sometimes.. Maybe Iowa over/ML parlay for a pinch is my play w the line rocketing down. Any correlation you see there? I think Iowa could be a surprise in that department today.
Speaking of pinches Train, UT U/ML for 17X odds aint lookin so bad. Not a done deal under feels good, but bay bay bay just scored can't underestimate UT's ability to sink a man's bet.....tick tick tick.....

Eh This is exactly the offense I thought that Texas would look like, but I assumed Baylor doesnt have a WR playing quarterback. but then 2 missed fg's, Coleman dropped a few easy catches. Tough loss, but whatever.
Any suggestions for any other games? I already have 500 on michigan state, which is a lot for me, but I still think Clemson wins the game but to have any real confidence Id probably want to tease the 5, but im not sure with who else

I may be crazy, but added a bit on Bama/Florida O39.5
Like K St, but wanted 7.5......
I've been warming up to launch the UF over, just waiting on the masses to go first. 37.5 now. Maybe tag team w the spread if the book lets me, for a pinch.... evaluations of these teams is so fanatical when there is only 10 or so games to pick....."Bama's Gunna ROLL" and "UF O is the worst thing on this Planet" has easily surpassed the fever pitch of "Bay's Stomp em for Wayyyy over 21" .... Hit my first ever "bette middler" as mega would call it today. went large on tuesday on the wky/smiss o 72. then 30 minutes before kick off put some action on the U 77. freakin thing of beauty!
