Nos- Whats good Mayne? Nice looking card brutha... I had checked out your thread throughout the past month but damn its getting long haha!!!!  BOL to you and hope we have a profitablle season!
 
I was officially leaning towards Oregon at 5, 5.5 and now line is down to 3, 3.5 do you think Oregon get a SU win?
 
I think Boise is just toooo overated... Any thougthts?
 
What do you think about NC State?

VaTech +6    VT wins straight up. This is not Clemson and matches up very well with Bama.
 
OK ST -5   OKST has way to much Offense.
 
Mid Tenn ST +18.5   Clemson has a good D but a new QB and a bad O-Line. Clemson wins a low scoring close game by 2 TD.
 
Memphis +17   This is a rivarly is usually close. Also Ole Miss will be this year's Clemson.  Ole Miss is vastly overrated. Nutt's teams are best when nothing is expected from them. They will win 8 games including this Memphis game but will not live up to they top 10 hype & would not win 8 games if the out of conference games were not cup cake city.
 
Miami +6.5   I would expect this to be a low scoring FG game once again.  In fact I think Miami wins straight up. Why because they need this game based upon schedule much more than FSU.
Don't bet the home on this game. I have nothing to base it on other than a hunch!

Still love these outright dogs guys!

Thus far i am 1-0 on the ML and really like the whole card but love these dogs straight up!  Love VaTech  and Miami !

gotta a serious question for you, Nos...
 
you and i (among others) like to jump on early lines when they come out on Sunday night... but i'm wondering if i need to change my thinking this year... for one reason...
 
Swine flu!
 
every week this year we are gonna be hearing about teams getting hit by the bug... are you at all considering changing your usual routine this year, and waiting a bit longer in the week to commit?
 
i have always been one to cap the games before lines come out, and jump on the lines that i like... but this issue has me rethinking things...
 
i'll probably still take my chances... but this could be a nasty issue as the year wears on...
 
thoughts?

IMO getting the swine flu is like having a freak injury at practice during the week.  Now unfortunate things happen and the line many times get adjusted for it, but i don't think you should change the way you cap because of swine flu.  Just my thought on the matter even though i know you wasn't asking me.

i hear ya backdoor... a lot of people won't bet the week 1 games 3 weeks early because they worry about injuries... i say 1) it's a coin toss... can help you as much as hurt you, and 2) if you are betting on the better team, that means they are usually the deeper team...
 
same should apply with the swine flu... but i gotta admit this has the potential to be a crappy situation...
 
i'm sure i will still jump on some early lines... but i might be a bit more cautious with some games...

sorry for the delay, just woke up after watching Oregon's offense  and checking out some week 2 matchups

Looks like Wash St. might be getting hit with the swine flu.  2000+ students on campus got hit with it.  Hawaii comes into town and although they are nothing to get hyped about, -2 might not be a bad idea.  Wondering your thoughts.

VT let me down big time.  Clemson had a 95 yard kick return and a 70 + yard punt return that got them over the number! Memphis killed themselves with turnovers!

I did go 2-1 with my dogs winning straight out (SC & Miami). When I pick a dog to win I always play them ATS &  on the ML. So I made a lil over a 1K this weekend. Congrats to those who made money and those that didn't do more research!
