Oklahoma St heads to undefeated BYU to play in a hostile environment Friday night. They yet to win a game in B12 conference play.
It seems that after the Oklahoma St. loss to Utah, they somewhat gave up, subsequently losing to K St and WV.
There are a couple things that stand out here as to why I like this play and see value on the ML:
1. Oklahoma St. is coming off a bye and has had a lot of time to reset. If there is anyone to rally the troops and get back them on track, it’s Mike Gundy, he has done it before.
2. BYU has had success beating teams by owning the time of possession and limiting the run game. Oklahoma St. has one of the best RB in the country in Ollie Gordon. I expect him to have a big performance in prime time.
3. Pressure. BYU has the most pressure on them at this moment. Their wins against Kansas St and Baylor were truly won by their defense and special teams. They have never faced adversity. If they are down early, I expect BYU QB to flop.

Doesn’t BYU have some insane record during night game?
I know last year they were 20-1 in night games spanning years. I’m not sure what the current record is but they haven’t loss this year, so there’s that.

I played them against west virg….. just awful… game was over by end of first period….. you are probably correct in your assessment…. I’m just not fishing with them anymore this season…. 20-21 returning starters… gotta have continuity… they evidently don’t.

OKie St has given up an average of 310 yards rushing a game last 3 games all while not running the ball.I want to think this might be a letdown spot for BYU but I don't see much here.

"Oklahoma St. has one of the best RB in the country in Ollie Gordon. I expect him to have a big performance in prime time."
due respect here, and have no eye test on Okie St, but looking at their rush offense ranking @ 91/yds/game and 125 rank, has Ollie Gordon been injured?

No sir. Ollie Gordon has been healthy. Again, team has not been playing up to potential in my opinion. Offense has struggled due to inconsistent QB play (Bowman has been benched, moving forward with Rangel); offensive struggles have led to defense giving up. I believe the bye week will allow them to reset and play up to potential in this prime time game to if anything turn their season around.

Everything you say is true except for BYU having the best offense/defense they will play. BYU is overrated, everyone capping this is comparing how BYU beat K St and how Ok St lost to K St.
BYU is not as good as everyone thinks.
Again, I don’t believe they have played up to their potential and think things will turn around tonight.

I agree with you I can see ok state winning this game. I’m taking ok state spread but I will be put down ml a little bit more than usual. Ok state will be able to move the ball airing it out. BYU is playing well but I can see an upset. I’ve been talking about this game where I think they lose.

Ollie Gordon has not been hurt, they just can't run the ball. Bowman is terrible, Gundy is rotating all 3 QBs, and held a tryout for QBs over the bye week.
The only lean for OSU is that they had a bye week.
On the road, in Provo for a night game? BYU -8.5 all day. GL though, I hope we all win!
