LAST NIGHT MICHIGAN -2.5 WINNER

TONIGHT:

Clemson has had a nice season. Tahj Boyd has been brilliant at times and Clemson won the ACC in a very down year. West Virginia underachieved this year losing to a horrible Syracuse team in the Carrier Dome and also lost to Louisville and LSU. However they did manage to win the Big East. Geno Smith has been great and the young defense has been a bit spotty but recently it has stepped up. WVU DC Jeff Casteel always seems to get the best out of his defense at the right times.

So whats gonna happen tonight.... Several things jump out at me, Clemson when playing teams with a great passing attack has struggled, there secondary is swiss cheese and can not keep up with fast WR's like WVU has. When Q's are efficient like how Connor Shaw and Mike Glennon were against this D unit, the Tigers gets worked!! This is not good when you have to go against one of the most efficient QB's in the nation in Geno Smith throwing to a trio of receivers that may be the best group in the nation. On the other side of the ball Tahj Boyd can be explosive however the WVU secondary anchored by one of the best cover men in the nation in Keith Tandy is stout. If Clemson wants to have success in this game they will have to pound the football with Ellington and be successful early. If the Tigers cannot establish the run game early than this will be a blowout as Clemson cannot stop the High Octane passing attack of the Mountaineers. Either way however Clemson IMO will not be able to keep up with WVU attack and West Virginia should win this game outright. The wrong team is favored here guys and I will gladly take the points.

having said the aboveBoth teams are almost the same on paper, but WVGA is the worst, Geeno is a mediocre QB that takes poor decisions and is a maverik that wants to run his own show at times, WVGA deffense cant stop their own shit either and to make matters worst they lost their running game, both teams will air it out but tahj boyd is more athletic than smith and can be a threat also in the running game, Clemson has more weapons on both sides of the ball, tahj is also mistake prone like genno but at least tahj has more weapons and the better more athletic deffense

That play in OT was not a catch buddy....Michigan on D played a great game and forced several turnovers to keep them in the game. Hemingway made great plays and Michigan did just enough to Win the game. Just because Va Tech looked more potent on offense doesnt mean they shouldve won the game. Michigan won period end of story. Football is a team sport and all around the Wolverines played a better game. Defense creating turnovers and making key stops. The offense making huge plays with Hemingway.

I honestly cant believe ur trying to justify michigan as the correct play. Check out last nights ingame thread and see hoe many michigan backers considered that a lucky win/push. If they played again u would take vtech in a heartbeat.

That being said ... Clemson destroyed that same vtech defense twice this year already. Theyre deffinately the more explosive offense and wvu cant stop the option run/pass scheme clemson runs. Furthermore, clemson does have a more athlethic secondary and LB corps which will help with this one dimensional wvu offense. Lets not forget this is clemsons first bcs bowl in 30 years. They will show up.

I completely disagree Shark, Smith def is the one with the most options. He has maybe the best set of receivers to throw to in the nation including Bailey and Austin. You gotta give the coaching advantage to WVU as well. If you watched the game last night you will know that coaching plays a big role too Beamer lost that game with that stupid Fake punt some other suspect decisions...lol. WVU definitely has the better secondary. You can argue with the stats. Look at how Clemson fared to passing teams in comparison to how WVU fared.

Luck is what happens when preparation meets opportunity....I&#x27;m not saying that Michigan wasn&#x27;t lucky but what I am saying is that they played hard and made just enough plays to win the game. Va Tech was NOT the better team. Va Tech did dominate on defense but they didnt do it enough as they gave up two huge touchdowns plays to an amazing WR athlete that has made big plays all year. On offense Va Tech moved the ball better than Michigan but when it came down to plugging the ball in the End Zone Michigan made big stops and created turnovers. At the end of the day Michigan had the better special teams, better coaching and was the more opportunistic team. All of which people had already knew if they capped the game correctly. Michigan had the better turnover margin all year, the better coach in bowl games and the better special teams all year in all categories.

Michigan did NOTHING last night offensively besides the lucky catch that should of been picked by Va. Tech which was all set up from a stupid roughing the punter penalty, then the following kick-off with the fumble. Then the stupid decision on 4th and 1 to run with kicker, when you have a 6'5 255lb qb to run. And of course the TD that was over-turned which was clear as day to be a catch....

In my opinion Michigan played a better game with less turnovers, better special teams and less penalties all things people forget that can decide a game. Va Tech is poorly coached and that was the deciding factor in the game. The refs made the right call on the catch in the endzone in Ot and thats the end of the story.

On 4th and 1 Beamer shouldve pinned Michigan deep if anything. They had stopped Michigan all game long and more than likely they wouldve got the ball back with great fireld position.
