Question

Oregon just beat ranked UCLA, so they will likely jump FSU in the BCS tonight.

Ducks have 6 ranked Stanford in eleven days.

Last gm of the reg season they play Oregon St who will likely not be ranked by then as they were only #25 yesterday but lost to Stanford and still have tough games.

The PAC 12 title game might pit the Ducks against UCLA or ASU and given the schedules both of them have, there is a higher chance they will NOT be ranked, than be ranked.

Point is, Oregon's real game left to impress the voters and the comps is the Stanford tilt a week from Thursday.

now to Florida State:

they play #7 Miami next Sat night in Tallahassee. Then they go to the swamp to play unranked Florida the last game of the year and the Gators will most likely not be ranked going into the game.

the kicker is that unless Virginia Tech can beat Miami in Miami, then the Canes will be the ACC Coastal winner and still be in the top 10 and will play FSU again.

bottom line is that IF, IF, IF both Oregon and Florida State run the table, I believe FLORIDA STATE will finish higher in the BCS rankings that come out the night of Sun, Dec 8th.

all this talk about who will be ranked higher is still far from over, because there are lots of style points left to earn through the voters, but the computers will see the two top 10 wins for FSU and one top 10 win for Oregon, and it will make a huge huge difference.

this thing is far from over, but IF IF IF both teams run the table, I've got FSU in the BCS title game, not Oregon.

Speak, they keep referring to the math, but the math goes out the window if one FSU with more style points because the voters are 2/3 of the equation and they look for the "prettiest" wins.

FSU is winning quite pretty these days!! Oregon is also but FSU last week over Clemson took it to a different level and it feels like in my eyes Oregon is in catch-up mode to look as clean in all 3 phases of the game like FSU does.

the hardest part is that i'm a west-coaster and rooting like hell for Oregon or Stanford to get to the BCS title game but i have to be objective and i just see FSU winning lots and lots of points with voters over the coming weeks. I think they're gona blast Miami pretty good next Sat and earn more style points. Oregon won by 28 yesterday but UCLA O is a mash unit and Oregon took too long to get going.

it&#x27;s true that the overall strength of schedule is higher for Oregon because the unranked teams they are playing are superior to FSU&#x27;s unranked teams, but the key thing is that FSU&#x27;s final SOS will be raised by the game vs top 10 Clemson (top 10 at the time) and two games vs potentially top 10 ranked Miami.the SOS will be much closer than these guys think when it&#x27;s said and done, and the voters will be swayed by the style points.On Dec 7, FSU most likely gets Mia in a rematch to decide the ACC, and Oregon gets UCLA or ASU most likely, neither of which will be ranked.you think the voters will notice??  LOL

It&#x27;s disgusting to me that FSU will get "credit" for destroying another top 10 team.  Miami does not live up to that high of a rank.  If the ducks don&#x27;t get rid of the mistakes they keep making FSU will pass them in the human votes.  I think UO has a better chance of losing at this point also.  Scary stuff.  Lots of football still to go!

FSU fan here.  I know my team is good. I hope they get into the game, cause I think we can beat anyone.  That said, if we dont I just hope we get a decent Orange Bowl matchup.  ACC has the shittest bowl tie-in. NUI last year was a total joke. Its almost better to not win the ACC if you are not going to get the MNC game, cause Chick-fil-a bowl is a better tie in.

Let me just be honest. Both will not be undefeated at the end of the year. 2, if not 3, of Alabama, Oregon, FSU, and tOSU will have a loss.

Just like in previous years Oregon lost to USC, Oregon lost to Stanford, Oklahoma lost to Baylor, Oklahoma State lost to Iowa State...Let's just see who can avoid a let down.

I personally believe if Oregon stays unbeaten they deserve the title game appearance but arguments could certainly be made for fsu & other teams if they finish without a loss

in the past i would say at least two of the top 4 maybe three will lose, but Ohio St sched too weak, FSU too far ahead of their remaining sched.

best chance is Oregon losing at Stanford,

that's of course the reg season.

the conf title games will be huge this year IMO to determining the undefeateds.

Oregon has the advantage of getting the conf title gm at home if they can beat Stan in palo alto on 11/7

How is it going Wahoo? Unfortunately, Bama will not be coming to the National Championship game. They will not get an invite. After the beat LSU, Miss St, and Chattanooga wire to wire. Never losing at any moment since Week 3 vs A&amp;M. Either of two things will happen. Auburn will knocking them off in comeback fashion surprising Bama who has not been in a 4th quarter game since A&amp;M. Or an emotional win vs. Auburn in a closer then expected game makes Bama a sitting duck in the National Championship game vs. either a Missouri team with James Franklin back, a South Carolina team playing a lot better on defense right now, or a finally healthy Georgia team with a sense of redemption for all the injuries. I count Florida out cause they will go down to Florida State. And in the end Bama can only blame its self for such a soft non conference schedule and the SEC for giving them the home cooking schedule after Saban probably complained last year about the guantlet the had to go thru late in the year. Either way it will great to crown a new champion. Oregon isnt bulletproof, UCLA showed what a good defense can do to their point total. Unfortunately, UCLA didnt have the offensive line nor the running game to contend. We know Stanford does, they have all the pieces. And in the end, Florida State will be the National Champion, whether they have to beat Oregon or Ohio State. Florida State&#x27;s defense is better then Oregon or Ohio State. Thats a defense that travels well and is always ready for a big game. Too many pure athletes.
