I see that everyone and their mothers are on penn state. I was loving penn state at first glance but I’m starting to feel like it’s a trap. They are perfect ATS this year and they can’t be perfect ATS the whole year.
as I dig deeper, everyone talks about penn states defense. But if you think about it, penn state offense is kind of mediocre. They beat up on shit teams and their defense puts them in good positions to score. Ohio state had been owning penn state for the past how many years. Every year could’ve been “revenge” game for penn state. But they always lost by at least 10pts.
Ohio state has injuries on offense but the spread is stayin still at 4.5. There’s so much love for penn state. Everyone probably thinks Ohio state defense is not as good this year- but maybe they just started slow and starting to gel now? Instead of people naturally thinking Ohio state is going to get exposed, what if it’s penn state qb that’s about to get exposed??? You look at his numbers and the offensive production. They have like 0 big plays. On the flip side Marvin harrison been owning penn state.

There's no such thing as a trap. The lines are set based on power ratings/SOS, injuries and HFA....thats about it. On paper, OSU is ranked higher.... have the better SOS thus far mainly due to the ND victory....and are at home.....
So the trap part is your mind telling you vegas is wrong, but thats really never the case.

They played no one though. The best team they played was Iowa. I saw that game and I was not impressed with penn state. Iowa beat themselves and couldn’t do anything in the rain. Penn state always had good defense.
Allar doesn’t have impressive stats. I feel like he hasn’t really been tested. This game will tell what he’s made of. If you had to choose Ohio state offense or penn state offense, which would u choose??

I was surprised about the line and the amount of people who are jumping on Penn State. I'm not picking a dog in this fight, Ohio State if I had to pick. Word to the wise. 1st set of games people tend to follow the others with bad choices. Last week. Georgia Southern had more GOY selections. LOSER / Syracuse? Crushed by FSU / Army? Didn't score a point against Troy. / U Mass + 50 ??? against Penn State 63-0. Bet your own picks. It's your money. Of course if you actually bet. Good Luck

I’m just saying; I feel like it’s TOO easy to take penn state at +4.5.
Ohio state has played better offensive teams this year and still got the job done. Yea at first glance, I was like shit, -4.5 against penn state?!?! But nah I’m starting to feel like it’s gona be close until the end and then Ohio state is gona pull away

You’re absolutely right. I feel the same way. I bet minimum 1k on each play, like 5 plays a week. I take this seriously. I like to hone in one game a week and slam. Penn state was my focus this week but I’m having 2nd thoughts.

I don’t factor pre season lines into my capping. It’s week 6 or 7 or 8 (I forgot) but I believe lines are more sharper by this time of year. At the way the season is goin for both teams, I would expect it to be Ohio state pick to -3 max. -4.5 is high af - I feel like it’s high for a reason and that’s to attract penn state money. I’m not gona go into saying sports is rigged but by this time of year, I would like to think lines r set like this to trick people

Sean Clifford used to put up way bigger numbers. Are any penn states wrs even gona be selected in first 3 rounds in the nfl draft?? Allar is 5 star qb but he doesn’t have Ohio state wrs

Penn State has had trouble beating Ohio State over the years, we all know that, but they have covered 8 of the last 10 versus them. They play them very tough year in and year out. No matter where the game is, or how good either team is that year. They just always stick with them.
With that being said, this is the best Penn State team i have seen since maybe 2017. I think this years team is personally better than that team by far.
The line in 2017 when Psu played at Osu the line was Osu -7, and that was the lowest line this matchup has seen in over a decade with PSU on the road in Ohio State. OSU won the game by 1.
Let’s fast forward to tomorrow, and this line is sitting at 4/4.5 for the game. Which is the lowest we’ve seen since 2017 at OSu. Yes, OSU may not look as strong, i get that, but 4 is a very short line for this matchup.
I firmly believe that Penn State will win this game by a touchdown tomorrow. They have the two headed monster at running back, who both could start for any college football team, and both these guys will be starting in the NFL at some point in their lives. Stack those two on top of the best offensive line I’ve seen Psu have in over 15 years, and a defense that is always solid. Yes, Allar is an unknown in his first big road environment, but i think singleton and Kaytron Allen will do a great job opening up the pass for Allar to have some easy targets tomorrow.
Penn State is finally the better team in this matchup and they will prevail. They are better at every facet of the game besides the Coaching (although don’t think Ryan Day is that great), and the wide receiver position.
You can take the +4/4.5 if you want but you won’t need it. PSU wins this game tomorrow.
good luck everyone!

With Stroud at qb. Harrison is only as dynamic as the man throwing him the ball. McCord is a significant step down and the rushing threat hasn't been there either. A lot less to think about when scheming against OSU this year.

The yardage for Allen and Singleton are that low due to them sharing carriers. If they didn’t, their stats would be double those yardages and would put them both in the top 10 in yards in the country.
Kindve hard to have 700+ yards now when you split time with someone else.
Henderson did carve them up last year but this won’t be the case this year. He hasn’t been the same back with the injury.
good luck to you.

@SlayTheBooks singleton and allen have 362 and 375 rushing yards. what is this 2 headed monster you speak of? travyeon henderson barely has little under 300 yds but hes missed the last 2 games? this years penn states team is the best? how? their offense does not look like the best in recent years. maybe their defense.... i can only agree penn state defense is probably better than ohio state defense but thats it. we shall see tomorrow
They also haven't played in many 4th quarters.....

I just think after so many years of losing to Ohio St., this particular Penn St. team is truly capable of winning if they can execute. Plus, the motivation is super high. That’s enough for me to stay away from Ohio St. this time around.
