In all honesty I dont have a strong belief in services either, but  for someone to suggest you should blindly fade them will get you in a lot of trouble.To give you an example,  I have purchased the NBA Season Club Package from LPW Sports Forecast for 3 years in a roll.I have hit 60% or better in last 3 seasons with there plays and I certainly dont think I could have done that on  my own and had I faded there plays n NBA over last 3 years I would have hit an awesome 40% or maybe a little less,I would have to go back to Sports Monitor of Oklahoma and see.Northcoast has always put out solid products and I dont think they mislead anyone with records.I bought them a few  weeks last year in College and they were poor, but I never felt they deceived on there tapes about record.You are simply going to get some people in these forums that want to bash services and my suggestion is dont buy them if you dont like them!

Obviously you need to pick mush services like Marc Lawrence, Ben Burns, Larry Ness, Ferringo.

  I like the write ups evey week during the season...It gives me info I dont have time to research due to my 50 hr a week job...I can get quick info that would take me hours to find...

yeah Power Sweep is awesome Topper.....(bad name for golfer?).....if you order early it's a lot cheaper....
if you wanna change it up sometime and get his Power Plays......also well worth it....a more technical/computer projection of how each game will play out...and score prediction more accurate the last few years

got the 2009 bowl issue right here.......if you took the sage advice to simply fade his picks.....(which is the ONLY way to make $$ i hear) < wish somebody would have told me that shit earlier ....

for the last 3 years (bowls) ...your record would be 30-64-1......> dime player down 'bout $37,000

   *remember also these picks are made 2 weeks or so before 1st bowl game .....

Bookie, I was alluding to the same thing above with the fading advice.It is counterintuitive to think some of these services dont have a pretty solid handle on what they are doing. I have found Power Sweep and Power Plays valuable tools as well as I do most of my own College Football Handicapping.I might get back to using some of Northcoast 5 Star plays this year and the NBA Service I used last 3 years,LPW Sports Forecast , actually hit around 61% last year in College Football , so  I may use some of there stronger plays as well.

capper70........i caught the sarcasm immediately....picking someone to fade is really stupid /difficult....of all the ways to winners.....THAT'S the best you can do ?......go against a pro's picks?.....okey dokey.....i think the point is to have someone else to blame when you lose...
BTW...if you have got the cash to pay for picks.....a sharp  / legitimate.....no BS guy..that does mostly football that a few buddies have used.....is Kevin O'Neil.....Strategic Sports Publishing i believe is his co......he's got a guy working for him that does baseball totals only....and usually does great

BJ.......not free....order from his website....or in most bookstores...since an obvious gambling source.....it will be buried deep on the shelf....so gotta dig < one of the reasons Steele eliminated most wagering references

 I use Topper because i went to Western Ky U. There nicknames are the Hilltoppers... Hence Topper...My first name is Chris... I usually do very well the 1st week of the season using info on returning players and teams using new schemes generally struggle week 1..

if you didn't see already....i started 2 threads that might actually be useful to you.....somewhere on page 2.....i use "schemes"......to mean different philosophy / tactics / terminology.... (may still run same def alignment.... as in 3-4...but change in coordinator maybe suggests "scheme" will change)

Steele is great for breaking down matchups between teams, I ordered college football Blueribbon and its slated to arrive in another week or so.

9 dollars for so much information, I use it as a reference and definitely hit it hard on those sat mornings when I'm debating what to do while taking a early dump while listening to college game day on espn.

I forget the opponent, but LY Steele's game of the year was on Iowa as a 10-pt road fav. Stupid ass. Be sure to always go big on road favs.

...In '08 Steele's GOM was Aub -10 @msu...the rep said the original pick was uconn -10 home to vir.. they changed the pick...

I get this mag every year, my only complaint is the font size is so dam small. I'd pay an extra 5 or 10 bucks for a larger magazine that i can read.

No, actually his GOY last year was Wisonsin on the road -11. Yes a road fave but at least dont just make shit up when trying to rip someone.

Im not even "jocking" Phil for his picks but guys like Cypress who dont even have the4 facts and just make shit up cuz they lost their ass one weekend are just idiots. With all that said, picks aside, Steeles info is TOP-NOTCH

Just hate the guys that talk so much shit on the services. I dont realli like services either but if you were sucha  good capper youd never need one and if all services were just such "fade" material then you'd be rich fading them. But instead, youre still just a broke gambler who lies about what peoples GOYs are

If you want to play the service plays they are available all over the place.  Tons of other sites similar to this forum post about every service play you can think of weekly. 

No reason to buy a pick.
