One of the main reasons why so many younger folks are struggling to understand why/how... this massive cover-up took place......

Is because my generation (70's)......was taught to respect and value the institution....more than the individual....
     *you did WHATEVER...for your church/team/school...
and mine is NOTHING compared to earlier ones...esp pre-Vietnam.......which would be Paterno's of course

Just from casual observation....it doesn't appear that very many 20 somethings....give a rat's ass about today's institutions.....as the world clearly is firmly CENTERED on the individual......everybody starring in their own movie....the rest of us just bit players

I am from PA, so I see, hear, and read PSU football all time.. I have a trillion friends that have played for him, and it all comes back to the same thing!!
