imagine this...all you have to do is kneel it out with a little under 2 minutes left to win the national championship, not risk a turnover, and show a little sportsmanship to an opposing coach that has always been a class act.  Saban is in that situation and decided to run up the score to make it look better on paper.  What a joke!  Saban's a classless coach for a classless program.  I am still shocked.  Rub it in a great coach with class' (Mack Brown's) face with a pointless TD when you could've kneeled it out to win the championship.  What a terrible display of sportsmanship.  Just made me laugh even more when he got smacked in the face with that cooler!  haha!  Well, the penitentiary and trailor parks with be partying tonight along with the rest of Alabama's classless fans!  LOL!

You play to score touchdowns. Human nature is to attack not kneel?

honestly i think he did that because he was SO EMBARRASSED of what a terrible game he coached...

saban almost lost the game for his team single handed.. lost against a clearly worse team without their heisman quarterback

I think you are the only one that thought that.  I didn't think that when I watched the game nor has any of the morning sports reporters.

They ran the ball up the middle.  It's not Saban's fault Texas gave up.

Good points on both ends here . I'm going with it's ok to run the ball up the gut . That's football . Saban did make a horrible call with that fake punt . Not trying to back up Saban here but the punter had to see that guy was covered somewhat ?? Dumb-ass !!

Dumb-ass !!

Then what was he doing besides risking a needless handoff for a needless score   If he takes a knee (safer play) they still win.

i honestly cant stand this fuckin place.  how fuckin stupid do you have to be to not see that if he kneels the clock runs out. id love to see what you wastes of life woulda had to say if they fumbled and texas ran it back and your wager went right down the drain.  100% of the time the play is to kneel there.  idiot just didnt want the score to look close against a backup qb.

oh, he is classless, but it's college. you got buffons who coach. i am more upset with mack brown being a total idiot! he had that george bush deer in the headlights look all night. calling a TO and then shoveling an int for a TD. I seriously thought the back tried pushing the ball to the ground so he wouldn't lose yeardage. i didn't tivo it because I was like, FUCK MACK BROWN!

He really did look like Geroge Bush Jr last night. Everytime they cut to him, he was jambing another piece of gum in his pie hole. at least i got a good laugh for $500.

You must not know how to watcfh a clock.  They really couldn't kneel the ball and run the clock out.  There was about 1 minute 10 seconds left in the game on the 2nd down play.  Texas still had one timeout. They kneel on 2nd down they have to snap it with 25 seconds left on third down.  They then use their timeout and they could get the ball back with 20 seconds left.  They didn't need the score but you still want to run the clock as much as possible.  If you watch the end of the game Nick says something about the last score to Mack appoligizing.
