dear kindergarden, "JESUS CHRIST" is first and foremost. second family.i remember when i lost my grandmother. broke my heart literally.apart of me just died. the "LORD" brought me back. she is in a much much better place now. just keep dwelling on that.my prayers are out there for you. sports1000

Hang in there KGC.I've had a tough year so I know how you feel.Always enjoy your posts as I am a teacher and highschool football coach.Some of your stories are very entertaining about your class.You seem like a great guy and I'm sure you would be a fun to be around and have a beer and watch a game with.Sorry for your loss.

kc, my grandmother and I are very close as well, she was diagnosed with cancer two years ago. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family brother.

KGC Sorry for your loss.  I was lucky enough to have 3 grandparents w/me for a good portion of my life.  They're all gone now but I feel very fortunate to have had them.  My grandfathers horse book used to tell him "I'll let you pick your horses the day after the race"  That's how bad he was.  Anyway keep your head up. and good luck.

I had the same thing for me when I lost my last Grandmother at 87,what was even worst was my Grandfather had gone 9 months earlier and she just could not live without him really.I also had to do the speaking in front of 90 family and friends and it was hard until I started as your probally know by now.
It wasnt that hard to talk about what she meant to us and me and the fact she died of a broken heart,the old Italian women that live to take care of their husbands and family sometimes have a hard time going on,and that was alot of my talk.
Whats worse is 6 weeks ago I lost a 33 year old Niece in a car accident,she had been drinking and killed herself,she left two small children and to me those are the harder ones to take.
Alot more damage to the family in that one than all the others Ive been too with family members in their 80s or 90s.
But a good thing was going to my great Aunts 98th birthday party at her 92 year young sisters house,that was a good time,drinking wine and talking about the old family stuff.
Sorry for your loss,but I bet you did a great job and she knows it.
