As I've said before, I live in heart of BIG RED country. After that failed onside kick in 3Q, when up 11pts with momentum, flipping momentum and then losing game peeps are talking. The probabilities are now HIGH Scott will be gone not much after Oct 1 (after his buyout is reduced in half).
Heres my top 3 replacement candidates:
3. Luke Fickell
2. Matt Campbell
1. Mark Stoops

I saw a documentary type Thing on ESPN a few years ago. The guy explained really well what happened with Nebraska’s recruiting after they went to the Big Ten. Recruiting has not been the same and will never be the same again for them.
Unfortunately Nebraska is stuck in an abyss

That onside kick was quite possibly one of the worst calls I've ever seen a coach make. The risk simply wasn't worth it. MASSIVE momentum swing at that point in the game....9 minutes left in the 3rd quarter and Nebraska didn't score again.....

The glory days of Nebraska football from the 80's and 90's are never coming back. At one point, the Huskers were getting players from Florida, Texas, and California. Once the program started slipping, the elite recruits no longer are coming to Lincoln. If a player has the option of signing with a southern school, or playing on the west coast, why play in the cold upper midwest? schools like Ohio State and Michigan are still recruiting nationwide, Nebraska can't get these players anymore.

Thompson seemed to fall apart after taking a few hard hits...but the main issue I saw was how utterly crap N.U.s defense was the entire game--as it progressed Northwestern really seemed to wear out N.U., pointing to a lack of depth in the d-line; I can't see them getting to.500.

Nebraska should go back to the B12 or better yet the MWC
I've been saying that for years. Nebraska should have never left the Big 12. They had some solid connections with recruiting in Texas. That all dried up when they joined the Big.

The dipshit with no good reasoning attempts that onside kick in the Northwestern game. That was the turning point if anyone was watching the game. Anyway never liked this guy as a head coach and have no idea how he got that job so if he goes Nebraska would do better without him.

At UCF he had Jeff Lebby…and on Defense he lucked out with some key players …he tried to stay loyal to his staff bringing them all to Nebraska… Whipple is not the answer… Nebraska needs to pay for COORDINATORS!!!

Frost has a coordinator problem:

@TRAIN69 Absolutely 100% agree. What makes Scott even more accountable is that he himself made that call. Such an inept HC.
Did he say that he was the one that made it? I know he coaches the special teams and it ultimately falls on him, but most of those situations the kicker decides once he sees a certain look himself in the moment...

U guys are crazy...Winning close games is a moral victory for a school like Nebraska, which is a 2nd tier football school..Main thing is they play hard and do not give up....Great Job Frost....
