The sec will always be over-rated and over-hyped,there are numerous pac-10 teams that would destroy the sec teams,sec teams are boring,most lack any scoring,tebo is a goof,and there is no way he should even be considered in the heisman race,the big-10 is just as bad,and a few teams from the big-east would easily handle the sec teams,those of you who really follow the sec,are biased,and the sec loves there religious sec teams,and cant have a open mind when it comes to this subject.

So the SEC is overrated? That must be why the Rose Bowl does not allow anyone but the Big 10 to play in it... If I remember correctly they got tired of the so called SEC schools coming into southern Cal and embarrassing Pac 10 schools....

i know sec is the best conference but you cannot just show the national championship records and go from there.  the reason why the sec is so dominant in championship games is that they are battle tested.  they beat each other up and that makes them stronger as a unit.  to overcome adversity you have a better shot at winning a single game like a bowl game. versus a team to walks through 12 games without much adversity. we will see this year and i hope texas can prove that big 12 is not overrated. until then sec is the best top to bottom

I agree with your statement and I personally do not see the Big 12 as over rated....

If you watch college football, besides Vanderbilt, Miss St, and maybe Kentucky, anyone can name the head coach of each SEC team. What's the importance of this? Those coaches have all been able to get their team into the top-25 in the last 3-5 years(except Miss St I believe), and a bowl game.

Tell me what other conference has done this, or gotten close

So funny...Bama didn't care about last year's Sugar Bowl, so that gives the SEC and Bama a pass for losing the game....Did Saban and the players say they didn't care about the game?  Keep the Kool Aid drinking. 

Regarding me bumping Iowa, if they go undefeated, which I think they will, they have just a strong of argument of playing in the Title game as an undefeated Florida, Bama, Texas team.....As well as Cinc, Boise and TCU.....However, the SEC bias by most fan and the media will not allow that to happen...it's a shame...

I suppose that occasionally a conference will step up and have a better yr. than the SEC. However, top to bottom, year after year, there is no place with better football or more talent.

Every Saturday there is great competition, huge stadiums, insane environments, hot cheerleaders, and tons of NFL Prospects. The South simply LOVES football more and it shows in the teams and their supporters.

Unlike some of the intelligent "homers" in this post, I was born and raised in OH and currently live in NV. I have no bias toward the South.

my favorite team is USC so i follow Pac-10 games all season. I also attend university of Florida so ive seen almost every SEC team play this year either in person or following up on the gators.

between the douche that started this thread and they guy ive quoted right here there is no doubt that ignorance is bliss...

I must say i somewhat agree. The SEC gets way too much credit, but i don't know who is better top to bottom. Maybe if u threw out wazzu and replaced them with like boise or a mountain west the pac 10 would be. although the past 3 years of the bcs title game is totally biased towards aoutmatically givin the sec the title shot.

Heres the conference to tout.. none. All conferences for the most part are the same. A couple of very strong teams at the top and then mediocre to bad ones. The conference debate is stupid.

Agree Oregon is playing best ball in country right now....  Best team cant say they are because they are not undefeated.....

 

Alabama a pick over USC??  Bama would win that game by dd and USC would not score more than 13

Arizona terrible coaching as they should be a one loss team but coaching cost them against washington when they had the ball with 2 min to and other team had 1 timeout and he comes out throwing and throws what might be the worst int of the year off the guy foot....

is sec the best top to bottom team this year??  No i dont think they are I believe Pac 10, SEC, and Big 12 are all right there neck in neck, and please hush the big 10 talk.....  Their BCS track record proves SPEED KILLS
