I am a huge Gator fan and never bet against/for them. That line is insane and Ole Miss is a great grab this week IMO.

Look for Florida and LSU to take it easy this week against lackluster opponents. Bama v. Georgia much closer than -6.5 in my view, look for that to tighten.

Going to look a little deeper.  Not in a hurry to jump on these this week, the only line i see going up is going to be UGA.   If the UGA line goes to 7 i will prob be on the roll tide.  I dont really like UGA-6 very much, but im not playing Bama +6



I like Alabama at +6 and Ole Miss +23, I like Alabama to either win or lose by 1 or 2 and I think Florida will win easily but for some reason I'm not too sure about 23, maybe more like 14-17.

Love ole miss here.  Hoping the gator faithful will bet the snot out of it.  More than three TD's?  Wow.

I simply cannot imagine touching the Vols here. 

I also got fucked on that Texas-Arkansas bet.  Pisses me off, but whatcha gonna do?

still no thoughts on the LSU game... think i saw someone suggest LSU would take it easy on Miss St this week... thought that was an interesting point... wondering if anyone has any historical trends that would support this theory...

by the way, anyone who thinks that they got a raw deal on the Tx-Ark game being rescheduled...
 
that line never had any business being as high as it was two weeks ago, let alone as high as it is now... doesn't matter how crappy Arkansas is... Texas doesn't beat Arkansas by 4 TDs in that game... probably won't beat them by 2 TDs...

LSU has been pretty dominant over Miss St in recent years winning by 30 or more from what I can recall. 

For the most part Miles has had the team ready to dominate teams LSU should beat in these cases.

As for this game, I dont think that sort of stuff matters.  State has been playing really bad this year, but I still think they are capable of shocking someone at some point.  The line is about 4 points higher than where I find value in it.

LSU will cover 24 by halftime. This coming from the guy that took La Tech and Ga Tech over MSU. The defense will roll over in this one, book it.

MISST are 1-10 ATS in their last 11 meetings.
Miss st has lost by more than 30 points in the last 5 matchups. This same Miss st team got shutout 45-0 last year @ home.  LSU's team def. has a different look than years past.  The difference between the Miss st. team this year and the 1 last year is this years team has lost 3 of the 1st 4 games.  Last years team won 3 of the 1st 4.  Last time they lose 3 of there last 4 they finished the season 3-9 (2006).  In 2006 they lose 3 of there 1st 4 games before playing LSU.  LSU won 48-17 in the 5th game.

Just some intersting stuff about Miss st there.  Now my thoughts on this game after seeing both teams play.  Miss st.'s problems are 100% the offense.  The defense would be alot better if the offense could sustain long drives(and get points) and not turn the ball over. There offense last week vs GT put up 400 yards but only scored 7 points They gave up 500 total yards to GT's offense also.


Miss st stats on the road:
3rd down conversions: 36%
Red zone conversions: 37%
Turnover margin: -6

Im still undecided weather i will be playing this game or not.  I will tell you this, i will not be putting any money on Miss st.  If i do bet this it will be on LSU. Miss St. is headed towards a very disappointing season and I think the "here we go again" attitude is going to kick in for a team who has historically been bad over the past 10 years.

jp1lsu- I am still undecided about the Tenn/Aub game.  I think there will be alot of over reaction to Tenn losing to UCLA and being blown out by Florida.  Auburn will prob be a big public play for sure. Tenn is usually good for a couple of games that make you wonder how they did it, just not sure if this is the one

Nos- NC st/UAB I dont know if i have ever had a good feeling about a 24 point dog upsetting someone.  But i just got this strange feeling SC is going to lose or come really close in this one. They may come out and blow em out, but i got a good feeling about it

dfk-Not sure about this Bama/UGA game.  My initial thought was Bama.  Kinda leaning the other way now after all the buzz around this game.  Bama IMO is getting a little bit over hyped for a team who has only had 1 real road game(if thats what you want to call it).  Bama has done well so far stopping the run and that will be a big part of what UGA will be doing.

I suggested LSU and Florida may take the week off and beat lousy opponents by less than they should, and everyone jumps to defend LSU. And no one speaks up for Florida. I believe FL is top three easy, but Ole Miss are not total slouches, and the gators might be a little over confident at home. Florida wins 34-18. Take Ole Miss +23.

i agree, i think bama hasn't really proved much, although the game against clemson was good.  but they do have saban, and he knows how to coach, if it stays at +7 or more, i'll probably take bama just because i think it will be a very good, close game.  overtime maybe like last year?
