Nobody? Boise State sure did.

This is a nice conversation and worthy of lucid well thought out positions... not a name calling thread.... I think my SEC position is defensible, but I would never revert to name calling to defend the undefendable...... there are many out there with SEC fatigue, I understand that..... but seriously, would you want YOUR team to schedule an SEC team in NOV... no freaking way... we are fans, but coaches are not standing in line to fall on their swords...
I stand by my statement: NOBODY wants to play an SEC out of conference game in NOV...... so dont let your hate of the SEC blur the facts.....

Is this the same Boise State team that plays glorified high school teams for half their conference games?

Bama lost AT HOME last week to a team that was ranked 15th. Now, they play a high school team and don't stand a chance at getting any respect back. Western Carolina isn't just non-conference, it's a 1 game winner in a lower conference.
This is why the nation laughs at the cowards in the SEC.

Every conference has a maximum of two alpha male teams that fight each other for supremacy. All the others are equal to and therefore very beatable by any team of equal stature and similar record on an ygiven weekend.
The fact is that the bottom feeders in the SEC try to puff themselves up by the successes of the two top programs and their mega-coaches in Bama and LSU. But what conference should NOT try do the same? The fact other conferences don't puff themselves is just poor confidence and a lack of salesmanship. Who can blame them? No, they are not top to bottom dominant. Kentucky, Vanderbilt, Tenn, Miss, are just doormats like any other program out there. ESPN however is the variable that contributes to the fluffing every 5 minutes of broadcast. WHY? Because they have inked deals with the SEC. They have televised SEC vs "any shit fodder Big 12 or Big 10 school" so the SEC can still look dominant every Dec-Jan.
It's called POLITICS. It's part of life.
SEC has two great programs (QBs are mediocre and the Bama offense is conservative, while the LSU play calling is WHACKY).
Oregon > Bama or LSU--and I am not trying to inject anything about the PAC 12. Fuck the PAC 12. I'm just saying Oregon football is better.
Leave the conference comparisons to ESPN talking heads who are PAID to say SEC fluffing non-sequitors.

That's the past. Shall I bring up the 1980s while were at it?

Or do you think Auburn can beat Oregon today?
Does Boise St clobbering "almighty Georgia" leave an aftertaste?
How about the Utah Utes going undefeated against His Royal Highness Saban and "Roll Tide Roll"?
No consistency.
