84% of the public bets are on Houston but the line is same at Houston -12.5?  The big money seems like it's on So Miss to stabilize the line....Just a thought.

It opened at 13 according to iodds, which is a reliable source. I have a very small bet on southern miss.

Houston will put 40+...now the question is how many will they allow to SoMiss. I think Keenum will have a field day and Houston covers easily

Also from what I remember So. Miss's Kicker Sucks.  His Kickoffs are always high and short or other team will get good field position if not score a return TD.

My buddy has put 1K on the Coogs for the last 6 weeks. He does it as soon as the line comes out. He never gets on Covers anymore or listens to talk radio. So far so good

I agree with you guys aswell, betting against Houston is always scary. BUT, if I've learned one thing Sports betting. It's never base a pick off of their last performance. Every game is different. Different people playing, different scheme's, different motives. That's not to say, UH won't cover, but when I look at the Big picture, I think SO MISS will make it a decent game. I tool SO MISS + 13 today for 100 $!! hopefully I was right!! Anyways good luck to all anyhow!!! Lets all have a profitable weekend ehh??? What ever side your on, BOL!!!! Btw.... Seahawks tonight was too easy!!! 1-0 to start the weekend. Take care fellow gambling degenerates!

That's how vegas stays in business. People tried to be "sharp" and go against the hot team/obvious pick, then they get burned. They say they'll never do that again, and go the other way the next time, to only get burned by their square play.

Houston isn't necessarily a square pick, but I wouldn't be scared one bit to fade them. They're defense is absolutely abysmal. I remember a couple of years ago they let UTEP's RB score 3 80 yard TDs on them. Any team with a pulse on offense shouldn't have a problem scoring on Houston.

I used to agree with you on Houston's Defense. In case you have not noticed the Coogs defense after that UTEP game has been far above average. The last 4 games they have averaged 13 points per game. Their defense is starting to gel and if you watched the Tulsa game its really hitting its peak.

Houston sports radio interviewed the D coordinator for Houston Cougars this morning and asked how is it that the defense has turned around since that UTEP game. Regarding the UTEP game he just said it was a short week and we got caught with our pants down, because we didn't get in the repetition we needed in practice.

The Houston Coogs Swiss Cheese defense is no longer a plausible handicapping method.

Southern Miss has a pretty decent defense.  I think Miss beats them, in a close one.

I hope SO MISS rushes 3, 1 spy on Keenum and then drops 7 into coverage! IMO that's the only way I can see them getting beat. We had a similar highschool here, who passed a lot like UH and we did that to them. We still lost lol, but we slowed them down quite a bit! ( I know I'm a measly assistant High School football/wrestling coach) but it kinda worker for us...... You never know!?!?!?!? BOL everyone
