Back in 2002, he was fired by the Big 10 for poor officiating of a Purdue/Wake Forest game. This is what Big Ten commish Jim Delany said at the time: &#x201C;During the course of the game, these officials did not officiate well enough to meet Big Ten standards. Therefore, they will forfeit future officiating assignments.&#x201D; It&#x2019;s unclear when or how Capron was reinstated.Kevin Schwarzel, the back judge, is an Ohio guy. Born in the state. Has businesses in Athens, Ohio. In this story from 2006, he admits being an Ohio State fan. And even more jaw-dropping: He was not permitted to officiate the 2006 Michigan/Ohio State game. It&#x2019;s unclear why he was permitted to be part of this game.Bobby Sagers, the side judge, is also an Ohio native, and recently was named to the Ohio High School Athletic Association Officials Hall of Fame &#x2026; which is located in Columbus.

I had no dog in that fight, but there really is no doubt whatsoever that the 4th down call was correct. As for how the rest of the game was officiated, I didn't watch enough of it to pass judgement.

Michigan had a 10 pt. lead midway through the 3rd qtr.........TO&#x27;s &amp; their inability to run the ball were more the cause of their demise than anything else.

Wow, that video is really something. I didn't have much of a dog in this fight, but I had not noticed all of this stuff in real time (except for one hold on a receiver that was pointed-out by the tv guys). All of the attention seemed to have been focused on the call they got right. I wasn't aware of the stuff they got wrong.

Whats amazing to me is if bama loses a game tge firat thing savan is barking about is his team. His coaches. The execution.. all i have heard all week is pretty weak... guess what all refs were american and in the coubtry legally. I hear they are also all Christian and everyone knows god is a buckeye...wtf are u guys kidding me... the non call on pi in tge first quarter was pretty bad. But those happen.i actually looked at my buddy when missed that and said "yeah we got away with one"  the rest of the game was called pretty fair in my opinion. Yes there were no holds calles. But michigan got like 1000000 sacks. Hell what else do u wabt...  if they did hold id imgine there would have been much less sacks.  SCAL UR BETTER THAN THAT. Spend your time on better things than backing thr espn narrative who is now lobbying for the big10 to be good again.  Not sure when they flipped this switch...

That&#x27;s because if/when Bama actually loses a game, it is not because they get ROBBED by the refsTHe missed obvious calls in that game were a joke...even Herbstreit(spelling?) an OSU alum commented 5 times on missed OSU flags...One of the worst officiated games Ive seen...Michigan dominated that game

Pack... Michigan did not dominate that game. They controlled the first 2.5 quarters but did not dominate the game. The 4th Q yardage was like 130-5 OSU. There was some missed calls in the game on both ways but thats in any game. If you want to go back and dissect any game you will be able to find all kinds of missed calls if you wanted to.Michigans 3 TO&#x27;s and lack of running game in the 2nd half was a major part of why they lost. Michigan had OSU under water and let them up.  OSU took advantage of it and made a few plays to put themselves in a position to win the game....The Game is over by the way nothing anyone can do about it now but keep whining about it just like the Presidential election.

I&#x27;m a big Harbaugh guy, and I have to agree with you and Scal here. Michigan lost it and got jobbed at the same time. If Harbaugh had not coached such a poor game, they would not have been in position to lose and get jobbed. Throwing from inside your ten yard line with 4 minutes left in the half was absurd. They gifted them a TD, and then the fumble (that one was on the QB). But the refs were pro Ohio, so both things are true.

If thats the case, OSU got 130 in the 4th and 50 in the OTs...thats 180 yds of their 330 total yds...so they had 150yds in the first 3 qtrs...OSU TD&#x27;s in regualtion were a pick 6 and a 4 yd drive...thats it..they did NOTHINGAdd to it a fumble on the 1, AWFUL missed calls...3 missed PI calls on OSU that would have been 1st downs...and an awful PI call in the 4th on Michigan when the ball was 10ft over the guys head and 5yd past himMajority of my friends are OSU friends, and they all agree they got dominated and the refs handed them the game

The ball got to the 15 for sure  The only question is whether he might have retreated and brought the ball back behind the 15 before he went down.  Someone argued that he was knocked backward by a teammate after the ball reached the 15.  I didn&#x27;t fell like spending the time to evaluate the claim.

Blame Delany for assigning anyone who has ties to a school, most conferences prohibit that. But is doesn't mean the call wasn't tight. I doubt any official made phony calls to help either team win, they just miss calls every single name. Doesn't justify Harbaugh acting like the person he is. If he did get screwed, his brought it on himselkf for acting like a 12 year old ever since he came to Michigan. And this from someone who though Corch was the biggest prick in all of football. Imagine having the two worst guys on the sidelines in the same game. Would have been a great time for a meteor strike.

Really, neither team was that impressive. Michigan had the lead and blew it, and ohio couldn't put them away at home in regulation. I wouldn't give either of them a spot while the conference champ sits home. Each conference should have one representative, no more. They didn't even win their division why should they have one of the four spots? Winner of Washington/CU, and or Ok State/OU should get spots before either of them. Agree that Clemson should be gone if they stumble, they really don't look like a Top 10 team anyway. But if they win their conference with one loss, give them a spot.

Thanks guys.BB with the psychological pretzel of an explanation (that confuses and makes Dems at the same time).That Facebook video. My god.And Jim didn&#x27;t lose them that game. When you have teams separated by a hair, it can come down to one play and tie goes to the defender there. He hit him well behind the line and JT rode up a defender&#x27;s back. Tie goes to the defense with a near perfect hit on a QB sneak. But not with those refs.
