Some MASSIVE plays in the final week of the College Football season if we get the results we want

...in the second to last week.I&#x2019;m wishing for the following this week:Tulane to lose @ Houston (currently a 10.5 pt dog)If they lose that will lead to a huge play at home sitting on 5 wins against a poor Navy squad for bowl eligibility which Tulane has squawked about for THREE YEARS.The play will be on Tulane in the final week pending the line.Purdue at home to lose to Wisconsin (currently Purdue is favored by SIX!)This will set up a game against their biggest rival, Indiana with both of them sitting on 5 wins for a bowl. Purdue SHOULD get a good line (laying 3 on the road I hope) probably higher but I can hope. The play will be on Purdue if they lose this week.SMU at home to lose to Memphis (currently SMU &#x2B;8.5)SMU swill need to beat a terrible Tulane squad for bowl eligibility in what should have been a lost season after an 0-3 start. The play will be on SMU pending the line. (Yes we will be hedging out of our win total play if the line is good).Let&#x2019;s hope all three go our way

Rainbows have been woeful lately but you couldn&#x27;t ask for a better spot for them to show up .. UNLV just played their Superbowl at San Diego st and will now celebrate in Honolulu for the week .. Sandwich spot for the rebels to as they face the hated Wolf pack in the season finale

UPDATE FROM OPThanks for bumping the thread Gents.We got EVERYTHING we wanted so much so we could have cashed on every bet LAST week as I laid them out for this week. So I bet the wrong week and now I have to do the work.First up - The best pick of the three.SMU -2 over TulsaI don&#x27;t give a crap about the futures bet. I&#x27;m hedging out right now. To NOT do so would be irresponsible. SMU will eek out 6 wins this year given their "Skin of their teeth" style in close games (where they beat Navy and Tulane on not the backdoor but by climbing through the cellar window). If one of those two goes our way, we in the RSW. It&#x27;s not to be.I&#x27;m hedging out here for 75% of that RSW bet. $500 smackers.This line has me gobsmacked. I look at it like I looked at the Illinois -2 over Rutgers line.All you are asking me to do is win with a line like this? With a bowl on the line? In a season where Dykes was rebuilding. He is somehow going to get the job done. How does this compare in any way to what Tulsa has to offer as a side???Tulsa is, for all intents and purposes, trash this year. I don&#x27;t care what metrics you give me on YPP or DVOA or any other ridiculous metric. Tulsa would like to play spoiler? They are limping to the finish line in a lost season and SMU will come out firing. As soon as they do, it&#x27;s incredibly hard for a team like Tulsa to care entering the third and fourth, down 10 or 14 to mount a comeback. For what? Win or lose they are being sent packing.This SMU team can score with the best of them. The defense is almost non-existent at times but you HAVE to think that, at a bare minimum they give everything they have here. This is one of the best possible in conference games they could have on their plate to end the season for a bowl. Tulane would have been a nightmare in this spot. Houston would have been a nightmare. Memphis a nightmare. They are being gift-wrapped Tulane...Last year&#x27;s final game, which they won vs. Tulane was decided on the ONE INCH line on the final play which SMU held (and their D was non-existent last year; this is what I mean when they&#x27;ll come to play with effort, even on D, at least enough to cover).Their shi*-kicking of Houston told me all I needed to know. They can win when they have to. And Hicks is no slouch. Tremendous arm and he can put the ball right where it needs to be when the moment calls for it.This will be a shootout. But to ask me just to just WIN? With a bowl on the line? Against a weak Tulsa team? SMU has scored TWENTY more TD&#x27;s this year in comparison. They will run you out of the building if you are not careful. Give me SMU, the kitchen sink and $500 smackers here.I was expecting a line of 5 or 6 here preventing a hedge because a middle would hurt doubly bad. 2 is a dream.Yes the RSW loss hurts but I don&#x27;t care what that does to my pride. This is about here and now.I opened my book saw SMU -2 and put the bet in within 60 seconds. Purdue -4 at IllinoisNO WAY am I betting this. I don&#x27;t care who wins. To lay 4 on the road against a game Indiana team in the biggest rivalry of the year is unwise.Something has happened to this Purdue team after the OSU game and it&#x27;s not good. Barely beating Iowa. Embarrassed by Minnesota. Awful 14 point meltdown vs. Wisconsin. It tells me there is a Brohm effect here. Ever since they beat OSU, Brohm to Louisville has been on the front of the press pages. And Brohm has NOT offered words of confidence he&#x27;s staying. He&#x27;s a goner. Ironically, if he does not coach Purdue to a bowl he is going to Louisville with a resume that is lacking at Purdue (1 Bowl win and one 5 win season). And his son is on his staff so he&#x27;s going too. A double coaching whammy. And all this team needed was a good coach to win. Brohm proved that. And they will lose that coach in a few weeks.I don&#x27;t know if Purdue can come out of this funk. And laying 4 in the Old Oaken Bucket game, a revenge game from last year for Indiana after winning it for the entire Hazell era, Indiana will be licking their chops here. So no bet on Purdue. Clearly they are the better team but this spread is too high. No play.4.5 now on 5 Dimes? Wow. Who is eager to lay this number on the road in such a heated rivalry? Not me. Tulane -7 over NavySimply put, Tulane is overvalued here. But that doesn&#x27;t mean we can&#x27;t bet it. Remember all those years sharps were in love with the Detroit Lions? For what? The Lions failed them year after year after year. But the sharps kept coming back for more. Just like Tulane this year. Laid 7 to SMU and lost outright at home. They definitely are capable of putting up a stinker.This spread is too high. Navy on the other hand is having it&#x27;s worst season in a long time. So they are ripe for the taking for a SU loss.Tulane, stopped on the one inch line last year has ONE goal: A bowl of any kind and they&#x27;ll do everything here to bring this one home against an underwhelming team.But Navy, as we know eats up clock, as does Tulane with Option offense so this game is about ball control. So the best bet is the Tulane ML because I definitely see them winning, but 7? This is the sharps overvaluing them.So if we want a bet we can bet the 7 for one/1.5 units unit. I&#x27;m not aggressively pursuing 7 here for significant units. This line makes me sick. They beat shi**y East Carolina 6 measly points. And Navy is far more competent a team than ECU is.So 1 to 1.5 units with Tulane.To wrap up: SMU -2: 5 unitsPurdue: No PlayTulane -7: 1 to 1.5 units

I do have it parlayed with SMU Train. I just don’t post that because readers here do not care about ML’s. So at most if they want the side, dabble with a unit. Yes Navy can get within this number but Tulane is not losing this one. Not after the one inch line result to end the season last year. Fritz has drilled it over and over into these players that this is the bowl or bust year.

Disagree. I&#x2019;ve seen some FAR more awful Purdue teams compete with IU in this end of year spot. IU at home has me staying away. Purdue will not run away with this game. And they just proved they can&#x2019;t protect a 4th quarter 14 point lead (against a backup QB).

Well Urban, thanks.Let the proof be in the pudding: if SMU loses this one I will be doubly mad because all the work I did sitting through an entire season of watching SMU on CBS Sports Network and ESPNU will result in a dumpster fire of back and forth RSW betting and hedging. I want a win here for $500 and nothing less is acceptable.And Tulane at a minimum MUST come up with a SU win. They are three years into the Fritz era, have improved every year and now is the time to take home a bowl game. He has stood at a podium and said this endlessly. Let&#x2019;s get it done. No excuses. I trust him. This is the same navy team that lost to SMU for the first time in 20 years. That&#x2019;s a dead Navy team walking (one that can still beat ya because the offense is so consistent but still). Time to win and go bowling.Nothing less. The table was set last week just the way I liked it so it&#x2019;s all here.If Purdue was -1? I&#x2019;d play it. No way am I betting it at -4.5. IU is NOT going to put up a stinker. They will come to play. At least I can watch Purdue without my heart jumping out of my chest this week, betless.
