they say that defense wins game, and that florida defense is one of the top in the nation, however did they ever play a high powered offense like OK. i can think of ole miss, if they are a high powered O. and yes i know what they did to t-tech, with their D.
i'm just trying to iron out any wiggle room for OK to cover. thoughts appreciated.

The team total for OU is now down to 33 because of naysayers. I say that over 33 is the best bet of the day. By game time Flo may be picked up by the NFL along with So Cal. I promise you OU has team speed, they can sack a 250 lb QB, and their QB is the real deal. I personally have OU on the ML. I know I lost on OU last year against WV and I know OU has chewed on that bone ever since. They will be ready. Turnovers will probably determine the winner here. Tx Tech allowed 47 to Ol Miss... only ULMonroe allowed more than that to Ol Miss this year... maybe if Ol Miss was in the Big 12 we would be considering them a powerful offense...
over the last 6 games, OU averaged 60+ points... but they also gave up at least 21 points in every game, and an average of 29 per game... and 3 of those games were against KSt, Nebraska and Tx A&M...
so, however good we might say OU's offense is (or isn't)... we should also consider how bad their defense is... and by the same token, as bad as their defense is... the other defenses they faced in the Big 12 (against whom they put up those gaudy numbers), were simply terrible...

It would be interesting to find out the average TOP (time of possession) for all of OU's scoring drives. It can't be much more than 3 minutes, if that. With all the scoring they did, there defense was on the field for a large part of those games. And how many garbage TD's did they give up in the 4th quarter when the starters were out after they were up 5 TD's? Eventually, any O can score if there on the field enough.

i will say this... i have a teaser bet from earlier games, and the last pick on it is Over 60.5 for this game... and i'm worried about it... the Ov/Un on points scored for OU is 33, which is 21 pts below their season average... that sounds like the over would be a gimme, but i am almost positive it is a sucker bet...
i don't think either team will score more than 38 pts... i hope they do, but i don't think it will happen... and i don't think OU will break that 33 point barrier... 70 pts for the Ov/Un for this game is a lot to ask...

look what OU did in the first quarter against the second best defense in the nation. Ya that would be TCU. That game was done after the first quarter. A game where it only got close because in the second half the bench played. Just another point to ponder. Try comparing some good teams instead of teams like nebraska and texas tech. I mean lets face it. There was discussion that TCU should have been in the BCS game instead of Utah.
