I LIKE THE 10.5 SPREAD FOR USC AT HOME AFTER A&M HAS LOST ITS QB JAKE MATTHEWS AND MIKE EVANS AMONG OTHERS...SEEMS LIKE A REASONABLEY SAFE BET.

SOUTH CAROLINA HAS A DECENT RUN DEFENCE THOUGH AND IF A&M DECIDES TO RUN EVERY PLAY THEN USC WILL CATCH ON...I SEE AT LEAST ONE TO BY A&M ALSO

I have no opinion on this game, but the losses of those players is already factored into the current line. Their absence is accounted for by oddsmakers and bettors alike.

Also, your caps lock button appears to be stuck.

Gamecocks are hellacious at home on Thursday night national TV.

TAM cant stop the Gamecock offense. They are frigg'n loaded. Trust me.

I'll be taking the points but probably for small.  Looking forward to watching this one.

Think Sumlin's offense puts up points and keeps it close.

I'm a diehard but a realist. I think TAMU's defense will be improved from last year but the loss of johnny and Evans could be a huge factor. I think USC controls the clock second half and pounds A&M with the run and the big O-line. I could see them covering 10 but could also see them winning by a TD.

I think this game will be fairly close midway thru 4th qtr.This is a game I will watch closely and make a 2nd half wager on.If I had to play it now...I would take the.points.I expect Sumlin to put a competitive team on the field.

With A&M losing Stansbury ,Golden,and Claiborne returning starters on Def. How will they stop the run game Last season they were rated as 106 on Def  ????

I know a lot of people have a woody for South Carolina, and they may very well blow out the Aggies and cover.  Personally it's not a bet I would make.  A&M is a very talented team, and this being the first game of the season, I expect them to be very well prepared.  I think this is a game that will go down to the wire.

I'll play the SEC DD dog here.

I have gone back and forth on this matchup.   Two well coached teams with time to prepare.   I think SC has more experience, and A&M has more raw and improving talent.    Yes, Manziel saved them against Duke et al, but I do think the D will be improved, and with the influx of outstanding talent, I think this game will be close.   No play for me, but I bet it will be within 14 points...

I pretty much agree with this.  South Carolina has the experience advantage at key positions, that's for sure.  South Carolina, however, does not have a talent advantage.  If anything they are at a talent disadvantage.  So the question is how much do you value HFA and experience?  Is that worth 10.5 points?

South Carolina is usually pretty tough at Williams Brice, so I certainly would not be shocked if they covered.  I just don't think it's nearly the slam dunk many make it out to be.  As I said, personally I would take the points.

The Ole Ball Coach has tried just about every trick in the book to downplay how good this years team will be. In private he is saying he expects this team to win more games than his teams did in the last three seasons.  FYI they have gone 11-2 FOR LAST THREE SEASONS. USC DOES have a talent advantage in this matchup. (aTm will be a monster in SEC soon, they can recruit in a very furtile region, but they are not their yet) AND For those of you who do not understand what kind of home field advantage "WillieB" stadium is, especially a night game, you can get your own personal lesson in this game. I think the Gamecocks defense and their ability to run the ball will allow them to cover this comfortably. And who knows, maybe the Ole Ball Coach has QB ready to play?

JimmyD is one of the best in here; it always makes me take a second look at my opinion when he on the other side of me. That being said, I LOVE Gamecocks in this one.

Want to watch great college football? Turn on the SEC. Want to make money gambling on college football? Study the lessor conferences and pick just a few games where you have superior information than the average better. Even when the SEC team plays out of their conference the word is out how good they are so there isn't much value.

SC is always very keyed up for opening night and I have seen them year after year make statements in this game.  This is one trend filled with intangibles favoring the gamecocks.  Im going to not over think it and go with SC.  Plus Spurrior is acting strange, I think he's excited about his qb.

and his running back behind the biggest returning Oline in the nation. Have you seen Mike Davis run the football? If not go to youtube and have a looksee. Crazy set of hands and speed on his receivers too, Byrd, Rowland and Jones. Running backs will be thrown screens too and they can catch. They will punch TA&M in the mouth. I do expect some first game fumbles and such and that is my only fear but being out coached and better talent is not.

I don't disagree with this, but South Carolina's d-line is in just as bad, if not worse condition.
