i watched the 2011 game from start to finish. if you remember, Stanford had 5 turnovers and was -3 in that dept. they kept shooting themselves in the foot but still it was 43-30 oregon with 9.5 minutes left. much much much closer than the score indicated.
stanford had more first downs and dead even in yds. stanford D held that powerful Oregon O to only 387 yds

last year's gm more indicative of what will happen tomorrow night because stanford minus the TE's is a mirror image of LY, especially on D
Great rationale to cap a game
Looking at the length of grass and what happened 2 years ago.
Oregon's defense is much better this year than last year and Mariotta isn't a frosh anymore. Oregon had a lot of DL hurt last year that didn't play so they had no depth and were gassed as they were out on the field the whole game. Stanford also doesn't have Stefan Taylor who gashed Oregon last season.
Stanford is pretty overrated in my opinion. They barely beat Washington at home and they were tied with UCLA half way through the 3rd at home. They also lost to Utah and barely beat a mediocre Oregon State team that was just destroyed by USC.
