TCU has had our number in these last 4 years, especially in Fort Worth. So Texas on the road has me a bit skeptical here. But I do feel good about my Longhorns being able to keep this one close, and even pull out the upset. This team, especially on the defensive side, has been growing in front of my eyes. Week 1 against Maryland will continue to haunt my dreams, but since then, we’ve climbed up to the top 10 in defensive efficiency in the country. This team is eager to pull out the upset in Fort Worth, after losing the last three games to ranked opponents by a combined 11 points(!) (@USC, OU neutral, & OK State). As long as we continue to trend upward, we should at least cover the +7. What makes me most optimistic about pulling off the upset Saturday night is our defense. We have allowed a total 20 total points in our last two games ( 13 to Oklahoma State, 7 to Baylor). Oklahoma State just bounced back and put up a 50 spot at West Virginia.
Now TCUs offense has not performed against quality defenses, getting held to 26 points against Kansas State, and getting shut out by Iowa State aside from their kickoff return for a TD. That alone tells me we are more than capable of holding the Horned Frogs of TCU to a reasonable total, giving our offense a chance to keep this one close, and to pull off a win.

Kenny Hill, against Power 5 schools NOT NAMED KANSAS, has thrown 2 TDs, and 4 INTs. The 4 interceptions isn’t bad through 5 games but Hill has been struggling moving the ball as well as creating big plays against defenses with talent. Iowa State chalked up a damn good game plan, and I expect Herman & Co. to build off that. We have enough talent on the outside with future NFL prospect Hilton Hill and Kris Boyd who’s been hott these last few weeks. Roach and Ford up front can contain the run game, and Malik, Breck and Wheeler should have 0 problem containing Hill from getting to the edge, Kenny Hill isn’t known for his legs.

I’m feeling good baby. We may actually have more talent on both sides
of the ball, but TCU is hungry, and angry coming off that Iowa State loss, and still in reach for a Big XII Championship in Dallas. But Texas isn’t out of it either, as we must win out and receive from help in the meantime. This is my UNBIASED prediction, TCU is at home, so that alone changes the equation as we have really struggled in Forth Worth over the years, but Herman has been reminiscent of that this week and should have these boys ready to compete, and FINALLY pull off a signature win to build off of. I am favoring Texas to cover +7, and get the W.
Texas +7
Texas ML +230

as much as i hate to say it.......Texas' defense should give Hill and Co. some BIGTIME fits. This should be one heck of a game. GL with your play from an Aggie....(mom went to UT, dad went to Aggieland) I don't "hate" as much as others might.

To add onto foosball here, Texas put up 10 points at home on Okl St. I mean that is pitiful considering Ok St typically gives up 30ish points to most competent offenses on the road.
TCU is one of the top defenses in the country. I just can't back a team that can't score. The question mark is how much can TCU score on Texas. But I'd rather roll the dice hoping they can hit a few big plays than back Texas who you know will have a really hard time moving the ball.

TCU leads in all major statistics on D in the Big XII and is #10 nationally. UT is around #48. TCU has faced 3 of the top 10 offenses in FBS already.
Now, the offense has struggled at times with a huge loss at the Center position. The TCU running game had not had the gaps to keep the running game continuity going the past 4 games without Morris. This is posing an issue with a pretty solid UT DL.
The prior poster is right, how is UT going to score? They have a patch work O-line, an RB out for this game and not fluidity at WR....we haven’t even talked about the QB position.
Hill is the biggest question mark in this game, former 5* qb still struggles with decisions making and last week proved that he still is shaky at times under pressure.
UT is more susceptible to the pass which is not TCUs forte. The run is their power game with 3 good running backs but UT is pretty good against the run, can get beat over the top. You’ll see Hill and company do a ball control offense with him running more and quick passes.
Slight edge to TCU on special teams with Turpin being the difference maker. Turpin will also play a bigger playmaker on O this game.
i just don’t see how UT can outscore TCU in this game....despite TCU outscoring UT 138-29 in the past 3 games......it will be much closer due to the momentum UT has built over the past several games, they’ve circled this game outside of OU.
last nugget, Patterson is 19-0 at home as an AP Top 10 team.
TCU 27-16

Kenny "Thrill" will have issues with this much improved defense. You're right though. TCU has already played 3 of the nation's top 10 offenses. Have you looked at those "said team's" defenses?
Take a look my friend:
Total Defense Rankings Nationally:
Oklahoma State #38
SMU #100
West Virginia #115
The offenses that TCU beat were good......but the defenses on those teams SUCKED BALLZ! TCU is about to learn something this weekend.
