TYPICAL OHIO STATE FAN. I'D TAKE VANDERBILT BEFORE I TOOK THOSE RETARDS FOR WINNING A CHAMPIONSHIP. AT LEAST VANDY HAS LOOKED GOOD IN WINNING, AND THEY'RE 4-0. A 3 LOSS SEC TEAM DESERVES MORE RESPECT THAN OHIO STATE WITH ONE LOSS! BIG TEN SUCKS!

Soonerfan no disrespect I may have misread what you were saying but Tressel has a 76-16 record at Ohio State and has WON a National Championship and played (Badly) in 2 others. If thats bad football then i guess that is bad football. but for people to continously bash Ohio State gets a littel old. They dont always win the big games but they Kick Michigans ass every year Beat Miami as  a double digit dog I may add and beat invinciable Longhorns. I agree that they have looked horrible this year but people have a short term memory and need to look at the sorry teams they root for before puting down Ohio State My 10 cents worth

Had a house full of friends watching the USC - OU MNC game.  That hurt. 
Then I was at Fiesta Bowl when BSU pulled the Statue of Liberty.  I ate some serious crow on that one too.
 
I like talking smack when my boys are doing good and will take my lumps when they lose.

I cant believe what I just read. There is no way that Ohio State will even be in a BCS bowl game. They may play in the Outback Bowl at best.Probably against Tennessee or Auburn. If anything, USC losing hurt them but surely didnt help them.

Bet the hook, actually, Oh state has a helluva chance for a BCS game, they are not gonna lose any home games, they won't lose to Illinois, and the tough game will be at Wisconsin - they will be ready for that game though. As for the USC loss, it showed that USC is not invincible, and they are not a guarantee for the NC game like everyone thought. It opens the door for a lot of teams, and once Oh St starts steamrolling teams, and other top 10 teams start losing, then the Buckeyes will look much stronger in the doubter's eyes.

What a very very stupid thread..Take your Ohio st blinders off and realize that you guys have NO shot at the national championship.  They wont even win the rest of there games. 

5 Loss SEC team should play in the national championship before Ohio St does.

As a die hard buckeye fan... hence the name when i joined.... this is one sorry, sorry ass 'premier' football team.
 
Absolutely dreadful on both sides of the ball.
 
We have a freshman quarterback.
 
At fat slow overrated offensive line.
 
A very good team of running backs, who are misused, especially saine who should get 5 screens per game and mo wells who should never see the field especially in the redzone as he has the last 2 weeks.
 
Solid tight ends who are never thrown to.
 
An absolutely dreadful core of receivers.  how ohio state can't recruit either a fast one, or a big one, hell just even a black one is beyond me....
 
a punt returner small who doesn't have any brains at all, continuously getting demoted and in the doghouse his whole career.... and on saturday anyone watching the game vs. purdue and saw the punt he let bounce and be downed in purdue territory instead of catching it on the run with no one around would agree with me that he should never again see the field.  this is ray small i'm talking about.
 
A defensive line who is flat out terrible for division one football, Cameron heyward who was a beast last year hasnt done shit.  the D tackles get thrown all over the field. 
 
the linebackers haven't looked as good this year because the dline is so god damn bad.  overall they have been pretty solid IMO.
 
the secondary has been very, very good.  Jenkins is a flat out stud, though we play a lot of soft zone of 3rd and 7, which cause him/them to give up a lot of first downs.
 
Our field goal kicker has been decent, our punter has been rather dreadful.
 
The coaching for this amount of talent, (20 returning starters) are you fucking kidding me  has been an absolute catastrophe.... a fucking catastrophe.  the play calling, the motivation, everything.  The WRs are pissed cause we went to a running QB so their stats suck.... too fucking bad, grow up.
 
What was supposed to be one of our greatest seasons has turned into a total catastrophe, a disaster.  Penn St. will kill us if something doesn't change....

I commend you for your utmost honesty. A true, wise person, knows his team's weaknesses and strengths, and not ashame to admit it.

I was hoping they put Boeckman back into the starting position, and at least put the Buckeyes back into their 07 shells, where at least they can dominate weaker nonconference and Big 10 schools, especially at home. The Buckeyes left a bad taste in their fans mouth at the end of the last two seasons, but they were still a bettors best friend. Now, I don't even want to touch them. Not only are they not a former shell of themselve, they are just plain bad, by Buckeyes' standards.

The only thing going for them right now, is Beanie Wells. He is still a stud, and the game should revolve around him, not Pryor. Pryor is still a freshman, and his decision making is just too slow. He takes too long to decide if he's going to throw or run.

With all that said, the Buckeyes poor performance goes back to the coaching staffs, for taking Boeckman out of the starting role, and not using Wells like they should. The players that went to Ohio St, are some of the highest touted players from high school. We have to believe that they have better than average talents, and are just misused by this subpar coaching staffs.
