Only game on the board for tomorrow so you've got to figure with all the action that'll be coming in on this game the books will want their number to be real sharp. The line opened around -2 for Mich with some early action pushing it up to -3, where I would assume it would stay with some extra juice to one side or the other in an effort to not have to come off the key number. I lean towards Mich here for a couple simple reasons and was hoping to get some feedback to see where some of you guys stand on this game. First off, I look at the last three games that Mich has played against some teams that are known for having good solid defense's in Ohio st, Neb and Illinois. Aside from the fact that they won those last three games convincingly, they also scored 40, 45 and 31 against those D's respectively. In some of VT's last few games they barely squeaked out wins against the likes of UNC and Duke while getting handled by tougher competition in Clemson who I think matches up in a similar fashion as Mich will with them tomorrow. I haven't been all that impressed with VT this year, but what makes me nervous is that they seem to be one of those teams that plays well on a national stage and we know that they are well coached and will probably have a good game plan in place with all the time off to try to contain D. Robinson. In the end I think Mich ends up on top by 7-10 points but I'm hoping to get some other opinions...

Dude, this Michigan team is very average. Very, very average. I don't know much about Va Tech; but this has to be one of the worst 10-2 Big Ten teams ever. The schedule was so soft, and now you're giving a Beamer-coached team a month to prepare for a team whose best play is the QB draw? I'm sitting this one out, but it's two teams that should've been playing in late December!

I agree with your analysis, but I am a bit weary that Michigan is happy to be there, new staff, new to hitting the road for a bowl game, while VA TECH has been thru this.

bense brings up a good point that Mich runs a very vanilla offense that can be tough to watch at times, it does seem like just about every play looks like a broken play with Denard scrambling for his life...

See.........I despise Michigan with a passion, but I'll bet on anybody/anywhere if I feel I can win money. That being said, I think the ACC is the "minor leagues" when it comes to "real" college football, so I can't back VT here. But, like I said, it's Denard up the gut 20 times a game, if VT can stop that.....they win. Otherwise, Michigan wins, no-play for me as I think both teams are overrated and unpredictable. Good luck with whatever you decide
