Damn I love NIU because they been good to me but I'm feeling Toledo +10.5 for some reason. Your thoughts on this game? Its just weekday games have been so iffy, especially for me. Probably best to not even play right?

I&#x27;m a NIU season ticket holder and pay more attention to the MAC than any conference.  I&#x27;m not perfect but I can tell you my w/l in MAC wagers is about 75%.  And I can tell you that I see NIU covering this.  Their offense is explosive to say the least and they seem to be getting better and better with every game, and Toledo is not the team they were last year.  They have been overrated all year and proved it with a home loss last week to a good but not great Ball State team.  Toledo and Ohio have been the darlings of the MAC the last few years even though NIU has been in the last couple of MAC championship games.  Both are overrated.  Bowling Green, Kent State, and NIU are the best teams.  Doesn&#x27;t mean they will always cover - but just offering my opinion.  I will be on NIU -10.5, 3 units(my usual scale is anywhere from 1u to 5u).GO HUSKIES!

The over should hit too. Neither team has great defense. NIU does get a fair amount of turnovers to make their defense look better against teams like UMASS and Buffalo - but against Toledo they will need to outscore em and they will.

I'm not as confident about the over but I think it's a solid wager. If I bet on it, it'll be 1 unit.

My amateur (and I do mean amateur, I wager for fun!) opinion is that NIU -10.5 is the play of this game.

I feel you shanehouse. I think I&#39;m going to buy it now at -10, buying the half point as always. I also feel the teams are going different directions with Toledo going downward. Might add a 2team parlay with the over as I don&#39;t see a total defensive game on both sides. Definitely taking NIU for sure. Right on guys.

shanehouse, went to NIU my freshman year in 1994.  Anyway, I know NIU can dominate at times but do you think Id be safe teasing Toledo to &#x2B;23.5 (13pt teaser parley)? Id assume so but wanted your opinion.

niu 5-1 at home straight up and covered 5 games to 1 with against the spread when they are playing at home.

NIU at home, ranked 9 in offense, qb no INT in mac games will make all the difference.

I'm on NIU giving points for a fairly large amount of units.

NIU professor here. NIU has nations longest home winning streak and could blow Toledo off the field imo. Dont think a 23.5 tease is safe. Weather is looking chilly, but no winds. Big noisy crowd too...blackout night. NIU has won last 3 gaves versus Toledo and won 65-30 last time they were here as I recall.....

NIU has such a sick defense that people seem to overlook because of how potent thier Offense is. If Collegefootball were fair than NIU Quarterback Jordan Lynch would be in the heisman talk, not to mention that thier running back the nation's No. 2 rusher in David Fluellen. This duo with Lynch and Fluellan is almost compariable with Oregon's dual attack, except that NIU is a small school that hasn't gotten the respect.Toledo is in for a long night!!!

Its sunny in Dekalb with a light wind, going to be a great night for football. NIU is undefeated ATS and SU at home this year. Hoping for a Lynch coming out party on national TV, he is really special if you have not seen him play............Better than Chandler Harnish even.

Special Teams and Toledo Defense must score for Toledo for this to be a ball game. Just look at 5 of their last 6 ball games. 8 total non-offensive TDs that made the difference in Toledo winning games. If you don't get those TDs tonight, NIU runs away with it.

Games this late in year are capped pretty damn well but I see an advantage to taking NIU -10.5. But they have to score first and force Toledo into passing. NIU has a couple of defensive ends that clobber a QB on obvious passing downs. I like that this NIU coach plays a hurry up offense Oregon style and has no qualms about running up the score. Just make sure you watch the game, this is not the boring crappy MAC teams anymore. Lynch is a monster against MAC opponents, he is like a man among boys. running over linebackers and out running cornerbacks to the endzone. Very entertaining football.
