I see what your saying and I apologize if i come off the wrong way sometimes, I dont mean too. Truth is, I only post when I see so many people on the wrong team. This wasnt the case, I just think its a huge game and wanted to get a thread going about it. I do think Florida can create some match up problems with Bamas defense that Bama cant do versus Floridas defense. But that doesnt always gurantee a win

I dont disagree that Bamas defense is full of total "beasts"... But this Florida offensive line is probably the best in the SEC. We will learn a lot about Brantley and McCarron during this game

Im continually shocked at all the negative feedback I keep hearing about Brantley. He wasnt as bad as most thought last year and that was with him running an offense that totally negated all of his strong points. At worst Brantley and McCarron are equals in this game and you have to give the edge to Brantley since he is playing in the comforts of his home stadium. Aj McCarron has no clue what type of environment he is going to be thrust into

I love how everyone breaks down every single word people say on this site. I apologize for letting that happen. Thats why I rarely post on him. But I promise that wont happen again. Instead of saying Charlie Weis always has a 10-15 offense I should have said he "almost always" has one. I guess I didnt expect people to consider one bad year (a year in which he replaced 8 offensive starters and was playing a18 year old at QB) such a problem. The problem at Notre Dame wasnt the offense, everyone knows that. It was the defense. But thats another conversation all together. Its obvious that Charlie Weis is a much better offensive coordinator than a head coach and he has worked wonders everywhere he has been. Trust me, its no coincedence that New England has not won a Super Bowl since he left. So keep thinking he isnt an offensive mastermind. Thats the most ignorant thing I have heard in a while. Bill Parcells, Bill Belichick, Jon Gruden and Urban Meyer call him the greatest offensive mind in the game for a reason. But then again, you know more than them about football right?
they also stunk in 2008 (8 starters back) ....ranking near the bottom again in most categories....(in his 4th year...when his influence should be greatest)
he also flat out BLEW.....as a game /clock manager * how many times did you watch the Irish (showing CW with this totally clueless look).....and think....WTF is he doing?
he is a proven NFL OC....in college in the passing game only....his teams never ran or blocked (consistently) well ....
MAYBE.....you should simply explain why/how he will make these same guys (anemic O LY) that much better...? that will enable them to compete with LSU and Bama?
RATHER....than this silly/pompous/cheerleading presentation.....followed by whining?.......nice
The impediment to action advances action - what stands in the way becomes the way.

i am a gator, but i can take my homer glasses off when i need to. brantley plays like he is scared all the time. i am so sick of watching him throw the damn outlet pass all the time, its disgusting. he is not a leader. this game is the first time i have bet against the gators in years and its mainly because of him. but this line movement is strange. you cannot convince me that the money is going on the gators to drop the line from 6 to 3.5 in two days

I am not sure what point you're trying to make when you compare us to collegiate athletes... Not sure why, if we can't why collegiate, NFL prospects cant either??? Another bit of info... The Alabama LB's all run their 40's in the 4.5 - 4.7 range, and so do our CB's... The Florida RB's run theirs in the 4.2 - 4.3 range. So there isn't that big of a mismatch. If you think they are just gonna fly by them, and never get touched then you are a moron. Don't put too much money on Florida...
Wow , watch what you say to whom you say it too. Moron huh? There are a few times when I get mad and this is not one of them. But for your information no linebacker for alabama can run the 50 in 4.5 from a side position ,Left to right from almost a dead stop and also being blocked. Motion forward of a running back is quite a different story. I won't stoop to your level and call you anything but uninformed and probably have never even played football at the calibur of college or anwhere near the level of the SEC talent pool,so I wont expect you to understand that as well. If you watched last weeks game, both Rainey and Demps ran past all of the linebackers they faced, those line backers are just as fast as Alabama's. Again rethink what you say to whom you say it too.

LOL... You're comparing Kentucky's linebackers to Alabama's! Really? And I understand that a linebacker can't run that fast when in those types of situations... RB's can't run that fast in those situations... However simple logic would tell you that the slight difference in 40 yard dash times (In which Nico Johnson can run a 4.59), between the LB's and the RB's will not be that different when it comes to these types of situations... So let me rephrase, and say that it is not moronic, but it is ridiculous to assume that these guys are just gonna run past the top ranked defense in the country.

No worries man. Hell...apparently we are both huge Gator fans. I've opportunistically faded our boys at a good clip and should be crucified for even playing a game where I am not backing them...but I don't see it that way. This is one of those games that if I lose, I take it as a sign from God telling me that I am a fucking idiot. As I see it, we're all working towards the so no harm in a little sports argument. I take things a bit more literal than I should sometimes. Ask my wife...she can really hate me sometimes for it.

Tough to take anyone's opinion serious when post after post are from bama/florida fans.....it'll be a good game folks, can't we leave it at that? More importantly:
How healthy are Rainey/Demps?
How long before Brantley gets injured?
Will Bama open the playbook when UF stacks 8 in the box against T-Rich?
BTW, Bama wins by DD.....don't overthink this game and line movement -

For the record, I was excited as ever that we had a blue-chip like Brantley when Tebow's reign ended. figured out midway through last year that he isn't near the gunslinger and risk-taker/leader that others were before him. That doesn't only include Tebow, but Leak, Doug Johnson, Jesse Palmer, and even Noah fucking Brindise. Brantley's good paper numbers come from HB/WR short screens, outlets, and flat passes where the play-makers pad his stats. He either doesn't have the balls to sling it downfield, can't make the throw, or the OC hasn't opened up the playbook. I lean far more towards the box in him. It's sad he hasn't progressed and achieved as most thought he would. He is just like Gilbert at Texas. I wish him all the best and hope he can prove me wrong, but up until now and negating any injuries, he hasn't proven an inkling that he can lead a championship caliber team. He is frankly lucky that isn't in the same situation as Gilbert and that he is the only true veteran QB with Murphy and Driskel new to the system and Reed and Burton switching from QB.
All that aside, I fucking love my Gators.

Cincy (in Knoxville).....fared better
He passes at ND because thats all he had to work with. Thats the best thing about Charlie Weis, he utilizes his talent around him better than any other offensive coach. Thats why at NE he passed 40 times a game and with the Chiefs last year they were a run first team. Now he has two stud backs to work with and he is taking full advantage. But your probably right, Charlie Weis isnt a very good coach. Im not sure what I was thinking

Again I want to warn people against most write ups you see in the forum. They are usually one sided and trying only to justfy the reason they will win. Doesnt mention how Saban seems to have Floridas number or how Florida is going to stop the Alabama running game. Buyer Beware!
How in the hell does Saban have Florida's number? Beating Addazio offenses doesn't make you have any number, Saban has taken many a beatings against Florida in his coaching career. That comment made no sense

Great thread boys and I agree with many of the points made. I am a Gator homer no doubt and remain close to a couple good buddies on the coaching staff. I can tell you this game is huge to them and they will no doubt stack the box to stop Richardson and company however the screen pass is where I am worried. I see the D line pinning there ears back trying to get in the backfield and the screen burning us. On the flip side Bama is going to key in on our run game and unfortunately Brantley nor the recieving core have done nothing to show me they will move the ball vs this Bama D-fence. This game will be hard fought and Bama I assure you will lead majority of the game. I will be at the game backing my Gators but if I had to put money on the game I would take Bama right now at -3.5 because I believe this line moves back to 4 or 5 by Friday. The Gators are a good team but young and have had a lot of changes in the playbook and coaching staff this year for this one to all come together. Next year... different story but this year it is Bama by 11.
Bama 27 Gators 16
Good luck either way you go, just my 2 cents.....

Ok? And that helped them how? Our LB's have a lot more than speed, and that is why they shouldn't be compared to Kentucky's. That is the point I am trying to make here man...

Once again a Veteran who has no class, his complete argument was based on what I posted to be a true and factual statment. Obviously he did'nt watch the Florida game on Sturday, nor any of the games florida has played upto this point. I dont even know you nor have you and I ever talked , interacted or have you ever posted in my forum before. Knowing I'm a Jackass, because of a statment is very strong coming from a Canadian. This is the same country that takes all of the U.S. players we dont want. What would you know about football? Oh thats right we call it scoccer here
