Thoughts? As a snake bitten UGA grad,it's hard for me to feel highly confident...even w this year's D. Bryce Young and those wideouts concern me...as our only purported weakness is in the back end. Bennet has obviously improved and last yrs disaster agst Ala should be a learning experience. Pickens will be back but how rusty? Might just bet UGA ml.

Bama has allowed 35 sacks this year, 17 in the last 4 games, which includes New Mexico St with 2. UGA has given up 8 all year. Bryce is every bit as mobile as Stet. So why 27 more sacks? If the Dawgs can put constant pressure on Young, it will be a long afternoon for the Tide. They'll hit some pass plays to Jameson and Metchie. Question is how many?

Georgia has not been tested all year long...What will happen if and when they get down or are down in the 2nd half/4th quarter....Bama has been tested...

Good point, but will they go down to Bama? Why has Bama been tested, and defeated by a marginal TAMU team? I think the shut down D and advantages that Bama has had in the past, have been transferred to UGA, at least for this season...I see a UGA win and cover...

Tested by who? The same Arkansas team Alabama struggled against at home, Georgia blew the doors off right away in the 1st quarter. If they wanted to it could have been a 45-0 final. There's no way LSU, Auburn, or Texas A&M would have threatened against Georgia.

If Bama wins, does the SEC get 2 teams in? If one ever wondered if the refs would intentionally sway a game, this would be the one. Not saying they would but think about what that does for the SEC.

Lol what? UGA/Bama have 4 common opponents: Florida, Arkansas, Tennessee, and Auburn. 3 of those teams played Alabama to a 1 possession game. UGA blew out every single one of them. Florida was a botched 2pt conversion from sending that one to OT as well.
Total score of common opponents:
Bama 149-110
UGA 146-34
And there's the other side of that coin that no one is talking about: If UGA hasn't been tested then neither has Bama. Playing close games supposed to make them "battle hardened"?? lol. They've been exposed... their defense is suspect, offensive line is average at best, and they aren't nearly as explosive as year's past. Statistically this will be the best offense they have played all season and far and away the best defense they've seen.
Coming off a super emotional 4OT battle with Auburn and now have to ramp it back up again to face a much better team that was resting starters by the 3Q? Give me UGA -6.5 all day and I'd play it all the way to -9.5.

I’m a full Bammer to the bone. Been awhile since I’ve been on this site, but came here to tell everyone to go LARGE on UGA-7
Bama has busts across the OL. RT & C are trash and the only bright spot is our LT Evan Neal but he can’t block everyone. Plus the Tide has no RBs left. Brian Robinson is out and now there’s no threat of a run (which there never was) and more importantly, pass blocking will be a problem at RB picking up blitzes. For Bama to move the ball vs UGA, they must throw it and max protect. Kirby already knows this and will play man / zone combo to confuse Bryce and get coverage sacks.
but let’s say Bama does hit a few big bombs and plays good defense.. how will they hold the lead with no run game? UGA has a good run game and the ILB play fitting run gaps has been a huge problem for Bama this year. They did good vs Auburn, but Saban knew AU was never gonna pass with a 10pt lead. Kirby on the other hand will run run run and PA deep. It’s their MO and Saban will leave his CBs on an island to stop the run.
this game will get ugly quick and never look back. Kirby is out for blood and knows this is the game that he’s been waiting on all year long. UGA -7 is the winner IMO

Give me a nickel for every time I've heard that this year lol. First it was Clemson, got to hear that line all summer. Then Arkansas with a mobile QB, Treylon Burks and their defense... Then Bo Nix and the weird magic of Jordan Hare... Then the running game of Kentucky... then the offensive genius of Dan Mullen and Florida... and then the super up-tempo offense of Tennessee. All of them were "supposed" to test Georgia and they were all blown out except Clemson.

I see on vegasinsider approx 83% of the wagers r on UGA. And ml heavy also. Total from 54 to 50. Over might have value...possibly. imo public perception seems to be heavily skewed towards easy UGA win. Including our own fan base. I am concerned somewhat re the players possibly being overconfident, cocky....heard nothing but praise, adulation. I could be dead wrong.... frequently am. Like w Michigan....never dreamed that. So, be that as it may.

Furthermore, I think the odds r good I will run into a drunk, cocky UGA fan( I'm in Ga) who'll give me 14...and I will jump on that. Already happened once w Clemsun.
