Motivation edge could/should favor CMU, but they also need a lot of help to win the MAC West.  Ball State playing for a real shot at MAC West only a week ago, but off a devastating loss and now cannot repeat as league champs.  Is playing for a  bowl game enough motivation for tonight becomes the question.  And last home game / SR day is next week.

Just heard on the radio that conversely, CMU has already locked up bowl eligibility (may not guarantee an invite) and that Ball State has not yet.  So, maybe an argument for Ball State to still be motivated.  Not sure I buy that but just repeating what I heard on XM radio.  I took CMU ML 1st half very small for some action.  NIU playing to clinch west at the same time.  This game may not matter to either team by a certain time in the evening depending on NIU.
