There is NO WAY that I am going to lay almost 30 points with Ohio State. This line is getting to the point of getting too large. The best thing to do is pass.

appreciate the kind words guys, i really think this Card is shaping up to be a good week 1 card. i have lots of numbers to crunch, but looking at two or three of these games LARGE!

CSU ended last year on a 9 game losing streak. After that surprising opening say win vs Colorado.
The Buffs still dont know who the qb is going to be. Coule be Cody Hawkins and or could be Tyler Hanson. Dan Hawkins is in a make or break year. The Buffs were awful last year early on. They couldnt stop a nose bleed on defense. But towards the end of the year they started playing better. They played nebraska tough and texas. They also beat kansas.
13 seems like alot of pts for this rival game. But I think the Buffs get revenge this year and win the game. It should be close but I could def see the Buffs covering late to win 24-10 or something in that range with a late TD. But with these two teams you just never. Taking the pts here is not a bad idea at all.

UAB is really going to struggle to replace QB Joe Webb, who is the teams 3rd all time leading passer and 2nd all time leading rusher. three guys come into camp competing for the QB nod, with no clear cut fav. at this point. they do have a really experienced o-line and really experienced Receivers who have 322 catches amoungst all of them.
UAB is 3-1 SU and 3-1 ATS their last 4 vs Sun belt teams. last year they pounded FAU 56-29, but they also had do-it-all webb. the team averaged 9.4 yrds per carry last year in that game running for 330 yards. with the experienced o-line back and FAU having had thier worst d-line in the schools history (only 12 sacks last year and 6.1 ypcarry all year!), UAB should still be able to run the football, which usually bodes well when trying to cover the spread.
FAU returns starting QB Van Camp who was pretty prolific in splitting time with rusty smith. Van Camp completed 60% of his passes, with only 2 INT's and 12 TD's. pretty good ratio i would say. FAU does however lose ALL of their WR'S and the o-line has ZERO career starts returning.
This UAB team should be able to stack 7-8 in the box, play run first defense and force FAU to pass. with FAU's inexperienced o-line i look for alot of drives to stall, and if they get behind early, they will be forced to pass alot, which bodes well for UAB.
I really am liking UAB against the 12.5 here,
as far as the total, last years game was 56-29 but each team also was stacked on offense with several weapons. with those weapons gone, i look for UAB to control the LOS and swarm FAU all afternoon. 54 still seems low here, but i think the bookies figure FAU will not score much at all. i see something of a 34-13 UAB score here in this one. unless someone knows something that i dont,

With only one returning starter, do you think they will protect Davis long enough to get the ball into the hands of his playmakers? I love their Defense, they should definitely keep them in the game, I just need some reassurance in the OLine.......can you sell me on it?
I'd like to think that Fedora, in his 3rd year, will have plenty of talent from his own recruits to offset any drop-off up front.
I can't stand So Carolina and Spurrier, so it the Golden Eagles or nothing in this game for me.

With only one returning starter, do you think they will protect Davis long enough to get the ball into the hands of his playmakers?
