I disagree with a few of those, but I will single out baylor. Nothing is more overrated right now than the "returning starters" mantra, and because of that everyone is leaving the TCU party. Patterson has proven that his guys always fill in and dont miss a beat particularly at QB. When Paschell had his mri everyone was on pins and needles because the truth is he is a very good QB and they are not sure after that. The defense will be the same and completely confuse Griffen III like they did last year.
Meanwhile baylor has some losses that I dont think they can just patch up. They lose Watkins and taylor both first round picks!!!! Not only that but they suspend Gordon who was the deep threat for baylor. So the way I see it is TCU wont miss much of a beat at all from last years team while baylor could be significantly worse that last years team.

Week 1 is always tough because of new players impact. There is a wide variance on what an incoming player will do, and therefore a lot of interpretation and relying on second hand reports.
All I can tell you is that I had this game as a PKem, so at +4.5 in week 1 that is a 1 unit play, and if you caught it earlier at a higher line (which I did), it was a higher unit play. But at the current line, it is worth a unit based on my line.
But I totally understand what you are saying in your writeup.

Akron stuck out to me as they played OSU tough pre-scandal. Not sure what they are returning, but if it is decent than that is a great play.
Don't like Tulsa. No GJ Kinne or Thomas, that is pretty important. I see OU giving a solid 28 pt clubbing. Those are two special players. They should be up 21 at half.
Shit I need a Phil Steel magazine stat.

I disagree with most, but you and I are often on different sides of things. Indeed, I'm eating meat as we speak. I lke ECU, SU and LSU, but think Baylor gets waxed and UH eventually runs away from what's left of the Bruins. I admire your courage with the Zips.

Against you on USF I think ND has an easy time with them.
On you with most of them. Like baylor ML myself. I'm not really into the whole returning starters mantra but game 1 of the season meaning soo much to a young team with a young player leading them spells trouble. Smart people have jumped the TCU ship for good reason and it's doubt, most people who don't know a damn thing are still gonna take TCU even though they have no idea what they are gonna get from that team in rivalry territory in the first game of the season. I think they come out motivated but at the same time I wouldn't be money on it. Gonna go small on baylor ML i think there value in a small play there as i had this as a pick basically as well.

Easy now. Van's new to this whole sports gaming thing. Give the guy a little time and I'm sure he'll get the hang of it.
