been following you in soccer and you have been phenomenal. thanks for all that you do in the forums. just wondering how you fared in both cfb and nfl last year. look forward to seeing your picks and following as you have made me money in soccer. thanks for your time! dont post much but just wanted to say thanks! thoughts on futures and season win totals that stand out for either nfl or cfb would be appreciated. just wanted to see if you had any pending futures or if you have any initial leans. thanks!
College football was up a very little bit at the end last season - but for all intents and purposes you can call it breaking even.
NFL I did a little bit better, but nothing spectacular. I think I ended up at about 2.5% (including vig, meaning every 100 wagered I won about 2.5%) - but for me and on the volume I bet that translates in to a satisfactory profit.
Football last season wasnt so great - soccer has carried me - and continues to do so. Here's to a better football 2011.

Yeah, should be interesting around Moss Side this year. In addition to the drug dealing and random shootings, there's a team that occasionally looks like 1959 Real Madrid. I think they've scored 12 and could easilly have 20. City's third team would finish 8th in the PL and they have a legitimate shot of rolling into Salford undeafeated and on 18 points in a few weeks' time. I think they have roadies at Fulham and Rovers, and three pretty manageable home fixtures between now and then. Damn European break.
Nice work on the Orange last night. Never a doubt.

Not totally sold on Dzeko yet, but other than that I dont see a single weakness - and depth for miles.
Should be a great year for them...

Van -- you a video game player by chance? Given your love for soccer I wonder if you have ever played any games in the FIFA video game series.
I havent.
Im old school, a joystick and one button are about the limit of my skills. I cant master the multi button moves, and remember all of the combinations. I have seen them and would love to be able to play them, but every time I try I get beat by one of my 8 year old nephews, and that isnt very good for my social standing in my family.

How does someone who is supposed to be a serious bettor defend taking Baylor at +4.5 when only a day before it was +6?
Pretty simple, and I stated it earlier in the thread.
At 4.5 it is a 1 unit play. At 6+ it would be a bigger unit play.
If the line started at +21, and was now +14, should I not suggest betting Baylor at +14 because they were once +21? I post current bettable lines, and at the time I posted Baylor at +4.5 is worth a 1 unit play to me.
Doesnt seem to tough to understand, not sure of the confusion.
