BIG COVERING TEAMS, INCLUDING WEEK ZERO... for a few reasons, decided not to filter out FCS opponents.. I mean, New Mexico covering by 35 points is "big news" and encouraging no matter the opponent (within reason, of course)

On JMU…. I can say this. The offense is run by mike Shanahan. Dude knows how to run an offense. Control tempo, control possession, execute in the run game. But the defense may have been more impressive. 119 total yards and only 10 first downs allowed the entire game. They forced 3 and outs consecutively and often and Mike ran the ball at the defense effectively. They were gassed before halftime. The RB for Jmu looked fast and explosive hitting the holes. Feels like Jmu can make some noise in sun belt even tho they arent eligible to win the conference. definitely a play on team for me as long as people arent waking up to them now that the cat may be outta the bag
here are the teams that did best in terms of offence and defense both doing better than expected (I infer the predicted game score from ATS and Total)...... then I figure out how many points the D and O outperformed by and multiply absolute value of them..... so +10 offence and -5 defense would be 50 (minus 5 defense being good).. and. as noted only teams that outperformed on both ends of the ball.

hmmm..one can expect something like that from Rutgers, it was actually 4th and goal from the 42 yd. line. What is embarrassing to me would be the Iowa game. I don't know how someone could sit through that one. I mean it was SD State and not Wisconsin. Iowa had 166 total yards! 166 yards vs South Dakota State! Averaged 1.6 yards per rush. Frost licking his chops 
Everyone keeps saying the Pac-12 is toast for the BCS,but USC is still in the Pac-12. They will get a top 4 bid if they can beat ND and Utah either on the road or in the Pac-12 championship game. UCLA will start fast @ 5-0 and chants of Chip Kelly is back will be nauseating. I see Brian Kelly is still a crybaby and loves to bully the refs. I hate FSU but was rooting for them against BK.
