haha, I knew I shouldn't have used that word, bad judgement.
I definitely didn't mean inside information, lol.
Just a few guys I know that encouraged me to grab it, but I have to admit, I like to hear Wahoos as well, as College is not my real forte.

Oregon is in the 40's defensive wise...........now FSU plays some defense.  And I know it sounds homerish, but both Alabama and FSU beat UO 8 times out of 10.  The only team that has a solid chance of ending the SEC reign is FSU.  I'd like to see that, but don't think we will.

Thanks for the post, hopefully we see Oregon & fsu both make it & then you can poke fun at me if you were right :)

I like Bama & can appreciate greatness but I'd prefer a new champ, fsu or Oregon would be ok with me

    Best of luck this week

FSU (and Bama) defense is built to stop the spread, just ask Clemson and Maryland (who was over-rated a little).  I think FSU would beat Oregon by 14-17.  FSU has more speed on D than a PAC-10 all-star team.  And Oregon's D (which is in the 40's) would have little shot even slowing down FSU's offense.  I'd rather have the chance to knock off the SEC, but that game would worry me far more than a game against Oregon.

Any further thoughts on Aub/Ark ... See the line moving down prob due to QB Marshall being a game time.

I have a theory on new coaches in a conference, especially in SEC, in that existing coaches like to give them a welcome rub it in drubbing. I find that especially true with Bielema.

Don't think Malzahn especially sees eye to eye anyway going back to July media days when Bielema suggested rules be introduced to slow the pace of play.  This week he accused Auburn of not providing complete game tape.

    Thoughts?

that is wearing glasses with blinders on, kind of like those southern types who claim the south has the best high school football every year, I live in Texas, trust me I hear it from all these rednecks, let me give you a breakdown of NFL players by state as of 2013

    1. California (225)
    2. Florida (186)
    3. Texas (184)

this is relevant because you said the Noles have more speed than a Pac12 all star squad would, the west coast teams have lots of speed, hence the reason California has the most high school talent and the most NFL players

also when comparing Oregon to Florida St and speed, I'll just toss out 2 skill position players, Marcus Mariota and DA Thomas, find me skill position players from Florida St with more speed than those two and then you have a conversation, I'm not talking about a player that gets 3 touches per game, I'm talking about skill position players of relevance like the 2 that I mentioned from Oregon

if you want to say Bama is better than I'll agree, Bama is the top program in college and its not close, they have won 2 in a row and still unbeaten this year, I have them ranked 1 in my personal poll on page 1 of this thread but Florida St has done nothing this year or in recent years for me to think they are the best team in the country, winning at Clemson is nice but comparing the Clemson & Maryland offenses to the Oregon offense is a huge reach (which I think you did in the post above the one I quoted if I'm not mistaken)

this isn't 1990 anymore, FSU has a nice squad and it's great to see them be relevant again but to say they would beat Oregon 8 out of 10 times is just being too much of a homer, if we somehow get that matchup for the title then your Noles will 100% certain be the underdog, not the favorite, Oregon would be a minimum of -3 and probably closer to -6

this is fun conversation and hopefully we see the game between these two (very doubtful) but I would look forward to that game

I like Florida St being good again, I really do, it's just better for college football but let them accomplish more than a win at Clemson before we start thinking they are in the elite

I don't mean elite by winning a National Title (Oregon hasn't done that either & may never do it) but they have played in a title game and many more BCS bowls in recent years than the Noles have, rise above the rest of those from the south that see things with blinders, recognize the west coast has great talent (as I've shown above) and let's see how things play out

hope you guys smash Miami this weekend and continue on the quest to playing for the title

    Really enjoy your post
these are tough weeks and I'm just hoping to win this week, this card is a challenge for me to find wagers, I probably need a week off so I'll keep things light (brain is somewhat fried)

not sure with Iowa St but would lean that way

Don't think Malzahn especially sees eye to eye anyway going back to July media days when Bielema suggested rules be introduced to slow the pace of play.  This week he accused Auburn of not providing complete game tape.

    Thoughts?
definite lean to Auburn in this game, I don't like that Arkansas team at all and can't stand BB, it's nice to see him getting worked in the SEC

not sure if Rice wins or not, would prefer the points in that one as it should be a 4th quarter game with slight edge to North Texas (straight up), lean to the points when it was +5, not much now

no opinion on Big10 game, slight lean to Navy at 17 or more, Tulane can win (rather ML than spread there, don't see spread coming into play)

don't like Co St in this one, slight lean to Boise

for those that don't want to read thru, here is an updated card

    • Tennessee + 13
    • ULM + 4 (-120)
    • San Jose - 3
    • ECU - 22.5

looking at Wazzu game or possible first half, leaning more toward first half but will decide by later this afternoon

Wahoo…how do you feel about T. Tech favored over OSU? Is the fact that OSU's only loss is to Mountaineers? Look at stats on OSU defense, especially takeaways at #10 in nation against Tech's #3 passing offense. Wrong team might be favored IMO. Over looks like a better play.
Only other one I would like to ask your crispy brain about is Mich St-6
    I would lean State

Just for clarification, you would not take ULM at +3, but in post 76 you said they should win SU?
