 my youngest loss his hampster this past sunday, dude was in tears and sad as hell.

I can fully relate to the pain involved when losing a pet.. whether it's age or sickness or accident, it hurts.

We know going in that their lifespans are just not near as long as we want them to be.

Try to focus on the good memories, it will get better (but never go away completely).

After a few months, I hope you consider getting another.. all they want to do is share our lives, and bring joy and love.

Hoo - you're SO right about dogs being better than most people. I'm with you 110% on that. Very much grieved to hear your best friend passed. I hope you had another dog in the house already, but if not, get one ASAP. It really does help. Draw on the memories and the time you had with your dog.

 I lost a beautiful Chocolate Lab suddenly about 5 years ago and still think about him on a daily basis. The saying " A dog is Man's best friend" couldn't be a more accurate statement!

I am so sorry for your loss bud! 

WahooS....Thoughts and Prayers to you....Have lost both of our Dogs (Sons)..in a 2 year time period...Hard thing to go Thru...Pain gets better but Never really goes away...We know have a New Yorkie...But decided not to get another Golden Retriever...for Now...Still call the Yorkie the wrong name...Hang in there and know you are not alone...BOL on the Games this Week/Season....Hammer the Man..!!u

Sorry about your Loss Hoo, I lost a few pets during my life span and is not easy, I know how you feel. They will always be with you !!! 

Haven't been on the boards that much this year, been so busy with work,family it seems everything.

But I been lurking for sure, take care hang in there and cash your plays. I do like Indiana even @ + 10 1/2
