UNC would deserve to go in that case, and Clemson should drop out, but UNC and Clemson would both be more deserving than USC.  Clemson would have a better record, would have a division title, and would have beaten two teams better than the best team OSU beat.

In conference championship games, undefeated teams are 0-3-1 ATS and 1-3 SU against one-loss teams. 

These are the games and results (undefeated team listed first:

1998    K St (-17) 33  TAMU 36

Which is pretty hilarious when you think about the coaches who lost those games:  Snyder, Saban, and Meyer -- arguably the three best active coaches!  Only Big-Game Bob could pull out a win in this situation. 

We'll see how Dabo and Ferentz do.

Correction:

Don't think Florida will give the Tide as much grief as Auburn. Also Saban at some point should save some of Henry's mojo for the next game,a tougher spot, fortythree carries is out of the question in this spot. I would not lay the 17 even against Florida or take Fl and the pts. I will watch some of the game to see what Muschamp does on the sidelines.

Yeah this one is a pass for me ... Was hoping to take Florida Team total Under but not where it's going to be set ( 40.total so likely around 11.5.....



HENRY is taking $$$ out of his pocket with all these carries ... I think he WINS the Heisman , but could be the 4thbest back in the Country...

I think Nick Saban will realize that his best chance of winning this game will be to control the clock with our running game, and keep Baker off the field for the majority of the game. Henry is going to break some big runs, and Coker is going to have an easy day of passing with play action... 

This will be close in the first half, but we just have too much depth for them to last 4 with us...

I'm with you on MSU..but not sure if it's as sure a thing as you believe.  I still can't get over MSU struggling vs a really really bad Rutgers team.  Rutgers almost tied that game late  and OSU/Neb/Wisconsin/Michigan humiliated that team.  And they should've handled a Nebraska team easier if there were that much better than an Iowa team that beat the Cornhuskers by 8.

Again I'm with you on MSU but just a little more cautious bout them!

Rolo has always been a fan favorite.  It's a better fit than June Jones who was one of the 5 finalist.  Rolo is a players coach and I think will be able to get some improvement here.  You could always tell from when he was a QB at UH that the guy could see the field different from anyone else.  He could always find a weekness in the defense and had a sixth sense about him.  He should do well.

Really though, I think they dropped the ball by passing on Dino Babers.  Some might know he was a star running back at UH and has all the old timers here still talking about him today.  The guy knows how to flat out coach and he did apply for the job.

I'll tell you this.  Iowa is feeding off of the disrespect they are constantly getting.  There is no one coach Ferentz would like to beat more than Dantonio.  There is some bad blood there that comes from a few years back.  Kirk is 4-3 against Dantonio.

Now, this is a solid Sparty team.  But this is also a Sparty team that lost to Nebby (BS call I'll add), and Iowa beat them.  Sparty also beat tOSU and Michigan, both coming at the end of regulation.  MSU could easily be an undefeated team, however, they could also be a 3 loss team.  It sways both ways.

Both teams production numbers are almost even.  MSU has played the tougher schedule.  Of all the teams Iowa could have drawn in the championship, I personally like their chances against MSU better than the other two.  Cook will get his yards, Iowa plays bend don't break defense.  But will MSU punch in a TD every time or be held to fg's?  Iowa is very balanced on offense.  They will get their yards too.

Like I said, the line is right to me, but I would not be surprised to see Iowa keep it's season going into the playoff undefeated.  I think they have played very tense the past couple weeks leading up to this game.  They made so many fundamental errors against Nebby which they don't normally do.  They will leave it all on the table against Sparty and I see a very close game.

Agree completely. Iowa is solid on both sides of the ball. Yes, schedule is weaker than Sparty's but it doesn't mean they aren't a good team. To think MSU should be laying 2 touchdowns is absurd. Iowa has been disrespected all year and they are feeding off of it. They have a great offensive line, solid defense and match up well against MSU. 

Iowa may not win but the spread is where it should be. Now I see it just dropped to 3. Everyone all over MSU but spread now 3? Very interesting.  

This should be a great game. I will be there. GL to all

The Sooners have faced far better offenses than Alabama has, including Baylor and OKLAHOMA STATE on the road and have frustrated them ....   The Sooners D Line is very good and can get pressure and make tackles for losses without putting extra men in the box ....   


It's gonna be tight and, nothing more than a coin Flip .... If Bama opens as a favorite vs OKLAHOMA of 4.points or less be careful ....  In my Opinion ODDS MAKERS will suck in BAMA guy who will bet the house on the TIDE ...
