In regards to the AZ state game, there r no highlights cuz there ain’t any. Surprisingly I watched that shit show as well. Let’s just say the true freshman qb for the sun devils ain’t that good at the moment. Bad decision maker, missed throws, etc. Matter of fact, Sac state had a GREAT chance to win that game. Herm Edwards is gonna have a long year trying to get that squad to play well.

When did Maryland hire Art Briles from Baylor?
Oh, Jimmy, Jimmy, Jimmy. What are you doing going 2 OTs vs NAVY? How about losing your job? 111,747 witnessed this, mind you. Always saying your offense will be more explosive. Hey, we got Shea Patterson from the SEC. 19 for 29, while Zach Charbonnet gets 33 carries for an even 100 yards. (check your Heisman watch-let me know the odds, okay? Thanks!)
CBSSports has the running Twitter line going. In the second overtime, mind you, a linebacker tackled an Army ball carrier behind the line of scrimmage. IT WAS THE FIRST TACKLE FOR LOSS IN THE GAME…….ouch.
Tip of the cap to Jimbo Fisher for the best backdoor cover in a long time. 91 yard drive, 4 and goal at the two, brilliant 2-yard strike to J.Wydermyer from a vastly over-rated Kellen Mond to cover the 17………..
The Nickster failed to cover the 55.5 against New Mexico St., and NOW he starts complaining about scheduling? Uh, pot, meet kettle. I guess Coastal Carolina was busy.
They were.
Beating the Mad Hatters Jayhawks, 12-7 IN KANSAS.
LSU at Texas was The Game of The Year. I’m on the clock here, not enough words to describe this game. I’ll stick with epic, and wait for a long time for a game this good…
Out West, UCLA lost to San Diego State, 23-14, with 36,951 “in attendance” third lowest in Bruin history. They had been 16-0 vs. SD St before Saturday. There were so many seats empty, the Pac-12 network cameramen made sure to photograph they included the players on the sidelines, but crowd shots were non-existent…. Brian Kelly has now lost to Cincy and now, this…..
USC beat #23 Stanford, in a battle of backup Qbs, and……………nobody cares.
Florida State managed to beat La-Monroe 45-44 in Overtime when Monroe missed the tying extra point for the tie. Outstanding defensive scheming from Willie Taggert and crew, who must have been well-hydrated. Must have been hard to hear about Gatorade in Florida. BTW, State paid $1.65 million for this cream puff, and if you bet $2000 on the ML, you won your $100! Stand tall!
$100 bucks says Antonio Brown signed with the Patriots because he thought he could play against the Patriots tonight….
When Gameday breathes even one sentence about whatever letters fighting……..it’s fridge time…..

Brothers and Girls, we gather this morning to mourn the Covers NCAAF faithful from the remnants of Hurricanes Mean Green, Cuse, Cincy, Frosty, Hawaii, and of couse...Hurricane Manny.
How could such a collective be dashed upon the Rocks of Vig Beach? But ALAS....a beaming, shining Light of Hope!!!! The PMS (Puke Mexico State) Aggies hung DD's on the Evil One! (And covered! !)
The quote of the Millennium was uttered afterwards by none other than Darth Saban himself about his scheduling prowess, somthing like this....
"Well, (Reaganesque head nod for effect).... if someone would come play us, that would be great. But it's hard getting folks to play us."
Note the word "come". Nicky has ZERO interest in a home and home series - unless both "homes" are in Tuscaloosa. So he cuts 7 figure checks to the Aggies Empire to come get woodsheded. (Rumor is UC -Davis or N.C. AT &T are next!)
Yes Satan, upon your exile from the Dolphins, there was actually a 4 games in 10 year gig with Notre Dame - 2 home and 2 away. The latter part was not suitable apparently after you arrived. Hmmmmm.
There, that's better.

LSU/OU would be a decent Championship game.
Colorado once again ruins Nebraska’s season. Bet the Huskers don’t regroup after that one.
Arkansas better watch out against CSU next weekend. Lack of offense doesn’t work in this day and age.
The PAC 12 is as bad as it has ever been.

Careful, gentlemen,
We don't want to bring on kammer-time! God forbid someone say something bad about Michigan! Because nobody but me has ever done that (Oh, and Uniman........and GASportsDoc.......but, it's still early)
Funny you mentioned the Army-Oklahoma game. I mentioned it in a Squawk last year. When the game was over, the Oklahoma fans gave the Army team a standing ovation, and serenaded with cheers as they left the field. What did Michigan do at the end of the game? They ran to a corner of the stadium, jumped up on the stands edge, crossed their arms, and acted like they beat a Top10 opponent. Meanwhile, there stood Army at midfield, looking for someone, anyone to shake hands with except themselves............stay classy, b*itches.
Once again, I'll remind everybody I'm a Spartan by marriage. Because I want to promote marital harmony........whatever.
Another way Michigan is like Oklahoma is that they are not quite good enough............to even make the playoffs.
Seems like the Big Ten ends up in court or investigated for things.......Ohio State with Urban (didn't know) Meyer, Penn State (JoePa KNEW), Buckeyes again with TattooGate costing Jim Tressel, and now Michigan State. Thing is, THEY ALL GOT CAUGHT, and paid a price. You might check out USC, (no West Coast bias here) also embroiled in major litigation. Michigan brought their own problems by themselves in Harbaugh. Hell, I even wanted Michigan to beat Ohio State (keep wanting, right, kammer?), but it just hasn't happened yet.
So, be advised. Don't poke the bear

"On a fourth-and-2 at the Army 19 with less than 10 minutes remaining in a tie game, Harbaugh blew off the potential go-ahead field goal to go for the first down, and the Wolverines promptly lost four yards. On the next possession Harbaugh went for a fourth-and-1 at the Army 43, with 2:32 remaining in a still-tied game, when punting and forcing a slow-tempo, ground-bound offense to drive the length of the field would have been the smart play. That fourth-down decision ended badly as well, and it gave Army a shot at a 50-yard field goal at the end of regulation that came up short." "The analytics told us to go for it,” Harbaugh said of the second decision, passing the buck deftly to some vague mathematics compiled by God knows who."
"This is the modern coaching equivalent of the old “The Devil Made Me Do It” excuse for bad behavior. If “the analytics” included time, score and style of opponent data, maybe. But I’m guessing they didn’t. It was a bad decision that Harbaugh needed to own and was lucky to survive."
This was written by Pat Forde. I guess he doesn't know college football either, or roots for a "rape school"
