Talk to me about ECU. VT defense looked vwry good and ECU is stepping up big time in class....VT also with a week off......

Bookie, this is the week to back UB.  They will handle Stony Brook.

Also like Wagner +27.5 at Cuse and Boise -23 at home to AF.

And Flor St/Nevada Under, Nevada isn't going to score much if at all, and Flor St will run the clock out when they are up 35.

I was beginning to think I was the only one eyeballing Buffalo this weekend.  There are a couple teams that I think should come home after facing 2 tough upper-conference teams & take care of business in Toledo & Buffalo

don't think they are man....

Pirates always play the Hokies tough....when VT was much stronger....now the gap has closed.....Hokies maybe 6-7 points better...

and still beat to hell

A tremendous effort by the Hokie D vs Bama no doubt.....especially those 2 DT's....but the Bama offensive coaches....coached the game.....like they had  a huge bet on the Hokies......I watched that game again and they just stuck with the most basic / PREDICTABLE.... game plan.....with zero adjustments....zero audibles (it appeared)....nothing to slow down the pass rush....
   no doubt as instructed by Saban....

*BTW....just as I warned the Bama / blow-out capping hyenas / JDF fluffers....this is what Saban will do....
    
*but make no mistake....Bama OL still got their azz whipped by those same 4 guys pretty much all game...
  hint > it won't happen vs the Aggies.........
 

Pirates have covered 15 of 21 as a home dog.....that Dowdy-Ficklen is a tough place to play...and have a good enough D to slow the Hokies.....(QB Thomas only 17-31..1TD / 2 INT vs W Caro last week).....

EC brings back a veteran group (#2 in nation in  returning starts at 355) with 49 Jrs/Srs......and may have the better QB in Carden.....I think they keep this one tight or win it outright.........

note : Beamer once a ATS monster....has covered only 8 of last 29 games.....

better watch out....Seawolves look tough....that Marcus Coker at RB..........maybe not a bad idea.....Bulls seem to take care of bidness when they get a chance to push somebody around.......

I think Bama lays the wood to TAMU.. Like I was saying in another thread, Saban played a conservative style on purpose.. Didn't want to tip his hand to TAMU.. Luckily the D and special teams covered the spread for Bama.. I've also heard that Bama has been game planning all summer for TAMU and sort of went through the motions against V-Tech..

Bookie, great analysis on games as usual.  But how are you sold on Bama when they managed only 200 some yds of offense and had to rely on a couple of returns for TDS against a mediocre Hokie team?  Plus, they are on the road.  I'm on a lot of your picks and thinking of adding Marshall.  What do you think about the Herd -7?

bookie great read as usual ,whats your read on western kentucky vs south alabama . western kentucky was all up for the tenn game got blown out (5 straight turnovers) and now go face a south alabama team that put up 41 on the road against tulane .s. alabama is getting 10.5 at home. i know its not a known game but any insight would help thanks

Saban to OC and staff......"hey look we're gonna beat these a-holes anyway....let's make our OL work a little / not show future opponents anything...+++ "  
  *sounds absolutely ridiculous to many....but the really great coaches know not only the right buttons to push...but WHEN to push 'em......like this week at College Station..........I'm sure he didn't expect that kind of performance by his OL....but NOW....instead of being fat / happy off a huge blow-out win.....

 HE GET'S TO SCREAM AT HIS TEAM / WORK THEIR AZZ OFF....FOR A FULL 2 WEEKS......

Oregon up to 28.5 already...damn!

Bookie I am fascinated by Illinois this year.  I think the Huskies are in for a big surprise at Soldier Field.  Loving the 9.5 I am seeing now...thinking it gets over 10.

Tulsa....usually they get killed by Okie St and OU...but that is a LOT of points for a team that can't pass.....at all....Tulsa just lost their top (LY) ... WR Garrett 

Marshall line may drop some?.....plus Ohio is an appealing home dog I would think.....5-0 ATS at home vs the Herd

Bama 1H seems like a lock.....and good thing if you happened to lose it...you (should) get your cash back 2H........

tempting.....and might work....but risky

S Bama recall lost to S Utah week 1.....who's about the same as Tulane...or a little worse even

WKU is due for a big letdown sure.....but with Petrino I wouldn't fade them just yet.....they're a pretty strong team.....with a really good D
  *huge handicapping angle though fading a team off 7 TO's or more.....I forget the number...but that team seldom recovers the next week....
  *value is poor too....line should be maybe 13 or so....

Tulane had a bunch of starters out for the S.alabama game.  A few to injuries and the coach benched a few for policy reasons.
