4-4 this past week. With the biggest moose of the season coming off the over in the Illinois / Washington game. That stuff just makes you sick.

                                       Ten Things We Learned

    1. This is why we love college football. You can't write scripts like these, you just can't! What we watched yesterday is just a teaser of things to come for the season. I have never seen so much parity over the college football landscape like we have had over the past couple of seasons. Why? 18-22 year old kids, that's why. Lou Holtz once said you will never have the same team twice. Trust me when I say we still don't have enough information on these teams to make a educated decision on who the top 10 or top 5 is for that matter. 3 more weeks and I think teams true identities will show.

    2. The dumbest coaching staff in the country is and has been for a decade now is the Georgia Bulldogs. At times Bobo and Richt can dial up the right plays, but at times they look like coaching is far from what they do for a living. Why challenge that spot? You know it's indisputable! You know that! Why throw the ball on first down when you have those running backs? Run the football until the wheels come off! Look, South Carolina was the beneficiary of a lot of questionable calls in that game. But Georgia still had chances to win yet the coaching did them in AGAIN! Any Georgia fan or SEC fan will tell you the same things im telling you....Mark Richt is a IDIOT!

    3. I didn't see it but people are saying Texas messed the coin toss up and gave UCLA the ball to start both half's. I said it last week and I will say it again, WTF is going on with the Texas football program? I like Charlie Strong and I think he is the best man for the job, but this is going to take some time cause the program is broken right now. The coin toss?? Really??

    4. Do really need to talk about the Florida Program? I know some on here get pissed when I talk about Florida but let's be honest here. This is poorly and I mean poorly coached football team. Kentucky came to the swamp and probably should have won that football game. Probably is being kind. If not for a miracle in OT then they do. What will it take for you Florida fans to get on board with this Muschamp is idiot campaign I been running for 3 years now? This guy is a COORDINATOR. He is not a head coach. What will it take? Losing to Georgia Southern or Vanderbilt? Oh wait!

    5.  Iowa? Really? It was Iowa st.....

    6. Arkansas is good football team. I talked about them last week as I thought this was a team that was flying under the radar. They did lose to Auburn but guess what people? Just about everybody is gonna lose to Auburn, especially @ Auburn. I think they are about 2 years away from being pretty special, but with that being said...I do think Bret is sort of a dullard at times. He looks like a lost puppy. The only reason Wisconsin never reached the top of the mountain IMO was Bret. But at this point I really like where this team is headed.

    7. As soon as I took USC last week I kind of knew it was a bad play. Give B.C some credit. How in the world did that team ( who has looked bad ) beat that talented group from Southern Cal? College football is great for these reasons. NO way NO how does B.C match up with them. It's not even possible, but it is possible when what? I say this all the time and it happened several times yesterday. Anybody remember?? It's called playing @ HOME. People can choose to believe this or not but it's the biggest truth about college football. The Game is decided most of the time simply by where it's played. Louisville, Georgia and USC found out.

    8. Bob Stoops is a funny guy. I really think he takes alot of pride in beating the SEC. You can tell too! This guy likes to talk a little smack and for the most part backs it up. But come on it was just Tennessee, Bob. I did find it funny however when ESPN was spinning that propaganda machine yesterday morning when they said.... Oklahoma has no excuse, they better deliver against Tennessee. But then in the next segment said....Can Missouri " get up for Central Florida " laying down the excuse wagon just in case! Oh my...... SMH

    9. Lines are about to get tight from this point on out. If you thought they were tight this past week, you haven't seen anything yet. Usually about week 4 every year Vegas gets it right. So I say this, be careful from here on out and stay with the 3 truths for college football betting. 1)Thursday night home dogs. 2) Always consider where the game is played no matter the match up. 3) If the line looks funny, there is probably a reason for it.

    10. This past week marked the 13th anniversary of 9/11. 9/11 means alot in this country and I hope that never changes. I spent some time watching shows on firefighters, EMS, and just common individuals talk about their stories. I remember where I was that morning, drinking coffee at work, nothing unusual, just another day. Then the reports broke.  I watched the 2nd plane hit an was still confused about what was going on. Most of us were all confused. As the hours moved on watching the innocent people jump from the buildings taking their own lives is for ever etched in my mind. I was completely heart broken and man enough to say I cried as I watched. College football is a avenue for all of us to go to, it helps us separate our lives and minds from real world day to day activities. But I know it's just a game and the things that matter in this world aren't played between lines. It's family, faith and life. Saturday's are great in the fall but don't ignore the things that really matter in this world just to consume your time with a game. At the end of the day our picks, opinions and thoughts about this game are really meaningless. Family, faith and life are the real things an I encourage you not to miss out on those things, cause they only come once, football comes every fall. Spend more time with the things that matter in this world and I guarantee you.....the best is yet to come.

Spend more time with the things that matter in this world and I guarantee you.....the best is yet to come.

    picks later

Feel free to move #5 up to #2 as well.  Ferentz is a fat cat collecting a paycheck.  Props to his agent for getting him the ridiculous contract he has.

3 years ago they bring on Greg Davis as their OC.  And guess what, the same offense as they show today is the same they had with O'Keefe the years before Davis.  As long as Kirk is there, the offense will be ran his way and the results will always be mediocre at best.

I'm a die hard, but this is just hard on the eyes.  I expect to lose games we shouldn't with this coaching staff and play to the level of their competition.

Oh wait!

This I will respond to. I am not sold yet on Muschamp but look at Dabo. What is it that he has done.  You hate Gator fans and that is your perogative. But I will tell you this, Kentucky is not the Kentucky of old when it comes to college football. They have done, quite successfully, recruiting throughout the state of Florida. They have good, fast athletes at skilled positions. The Gators should have not been a 18 point favorite yesterday but still found a way to win. Last year, that would not of happened. I notice that you did not bash Driskell this week. The guy is a competitor and will be fine. One thing I notice is that your hatred for the Cocks, will lose you money in the long run. Stop with every excuse in the world about the Dawgs coaching, blah, blah, blah. Wasn't that one of your bets last year that if So. Carolina beat Clemson that you would not post on this site. I do enjoy reading your thoughts, but as you stated, just your opinions. You really need to keep your personal feelings about certain teams out of the discussion, if this in fact a football talk.

Florida blows! I thought they might be returning to past form, but they are a pile of dog sh!t... there is simply no arguing it!

Worst coaching staff in CFB lies with the Indiana Hoosiers... their incompetence cannot be measured. That team has a lot of talent, and when you can find a way to lose a game where you (a) win the turnover battle, (b) win YPP (yards per pass) by 3+ yards and (c) YPC (yards per carry) by 2+ yards... you had to work hard to do it! They're in-game decisions represent the highest level of failure in CFB!

Yes, I was lucky to get a push with Indiana (+3)... but it should have been a comfortable win if not for all of the terrible decisions by Indiana's coach...

I personally don't have a clue what 9/11 has got yo do with football, spreads, or gambling. The rest of your observations were well thought. Let's keep it on football buddy, the rest just makes you sound like someone who's a homer for the usa, which is wrong considering there is no real freedom, namely the fact that we have to go over seas to gamble.
    GL homer.

I don't respond to trolls this season..so good luck with that. But with that being said, I'll make an exception here.

YES... I am a USA homer always will be and talking about the country I live in will always be important to me.

As I have said so many times....If you don't like or hear about the greatest country in the world don't let the door hit you on the way out.

This is essentially the problem with America... too many people who will be "homers" no matter what their country does... I can't comprehend that mentality!

Loyalty is a two-way street... people need to start holding this country to a MUCH higher standard...

As someone who has spent time in 40 countries on 6 continents... I can tell you unequivocally... the US is no longer the greatest country in the world... probably not even top 10!

Dude you're clueless...it doesn't matter what happens with UF or South Carolina, you're going to constantly bash.  South Carolina throughly dominated that game and UGA was lucky to be in it.  Sure the missed FG and not running the ball hurt but South Carolina could've easily scored on that last drive if needed, UGA could stop them at all.  As far as the calls that "went in Carolina's favor", I hope you're kidding?  Gurley head butted and punched a player but yet South Carolina got the penalty?  The spots were horrendous on the last two plays.  A pass interference that the UGA wr was quoted as saying he thought it was on him. And then the most atrocious call I've probably ever seen...After the South Carolina qb threw the interception, the refs called a chop block on the gamecocks...they said "after the interception, personal foul, block below the waist on South Carolina"...So they called a blocking penalty when in fact the offense was actually trying to make a tackle after an INT?? Ok...

What about Clemson getting throttled by UGA?  Thats the difference between the SEC and ACC.  Clemson can't hang with the big boys, and as long as Dabob is coach, they never will.  5-peat.

Stop being nice about Florida. Lucky? HAHAHAHAHA . That game was decided on 2 deflections....one bounced out of the UK dbacks bread backet and became a 40 yard gator play and then the UK wr had one hit him in the hands and florida picked it off.....

Kentucky should have blown out Florida. Driskel still cant throw and this team is gonna get waxed by the upper tier SEC squads cuz their offense isnt any better and the defense is worse.....

Agree with every word! You have to be a mental invalid to be "patriotic" about 9/11, given the fact our own government was complicit... beyond a shadow of a doubt! It is beyond inexcusable for any American to not be clear about that!

Kentucky should have blown out Florida. Driskel still cant throw and this team is gonna get waxed by the upper tier SEC squads cuz their offense isnt any better and the defense is worse.....

    boom

    Will Florida score vs Bama?

    Maybe?
