I stand by my angle of sandwhich factor. Should've bet U-Mass. It won't matter if the 2014 Seattle Seahawks played a team of high school drop out cheerleaders, if the sandwhich factor is there and there is an excuse to slack off, ANY excuse, the team won't cover.
We see offenses stumbling and lazing out when it rains. We see sales people at the stores rushing to leave when there is 5 minutes left to closing time (even if they're paid commission), we see bank tellers decide to take their bathroom breaks just when there is a line up of 17 customers.
It's human nature. To do the minimum required to get by life. You will never see a multi-millionaire athlete in the majors perform just out of passion. We will never see 50 point wins in the NFL, or the mercy rule in modern day hockey.
Now, even in college, only a hand full of teams play every one of their offensive drives like it was the two-minute warning, and that, for one half at most.
We see teams go on 8 minute drives that result in punts and FG's. But down by 14 with 2 minutes to go? Score TD on 3 plays.

Wow what did I miss? Boom ran away lmao.

I was wrong. Damn U-Mass is bad. As I said, ND is way too strong and this is an epic mis-match. ND could win this game by 80 if it wanted to. The sandwhich factor, look-ahead factor, letdown, etc, they all come in at odd and unexpected times.
I never would've touched this game. But I came here to discuss this game in particular. ND/UMass was the biggest mismatch of the season and the line seemed too sketchy.
Look at Alabama. Not covering against ULM

Boom is a good capper and should be valued for such, but I never understood how you can complain about trolls if it is as simple as not reading and not caring. I hope you keep posting and stop reading any hate you get man it is a waste of time to respond or read it. They are trolls for a reason.

He called me a troll for asking a legitimate question. One that I disagreed with one of his picks.
I don't care how much he bets, what his record is or if it's flawed, or what kind of human being he is. I come here to discuss football and gather info.
Boom acts like he owns the site, like everyone is his beeyatch. He's immature.

I don't disagree with your sentiments I could probably careless for the guy and the way he portrays himself easily rubs others the wrong way. But the name of this game is picking winners and he is good at that, so to troll when he is ahead with a good record this year is just stupid of the covers community. We are losing out on winning picks and insight. Wouldn't be much of an issue if Boom was more respectful and just stayed away from those taunting him.

Not that we needed it but further proof of what a DUMBASZ you are. Nice call, you were as sharp as a ball bearing on that one. From now on your nickname is going to be 'slick', 'slick as sandpaper' that is.

Whoa, it's only week 3 and Boom's already doing his "I'm leaving Covers (unless everyone get on their knees and tell me how great I am)" schtick already?
Nice season so far though Boom, I truly hope you keep it up. Stay away from your late chaser 1/2 + Game bets. I see they worked for you last week in inflating your "record" but that's a double edged sword and can easily torpedo a mediocre record into a flat out bad one if you pick losers.
Lastly, a good amount of people value someone's word over money so just because a bet doesn't involve $$, doesn't make it "invalid". Hopefully when (if) your wife said/says her wedding vows she include some cash with it, I wouldn't want her to consider it "invalid".

I never taunted Boom. He posted some picks and one of which I was interested in and disagreed with because of X and Y reason, and because I respect Boom I asked him to clarify me on those factors specifically. He called me a troll, just like everyone else who disagrees with him.
I'd say, good riddance
