Week 4 Plays 3-1 on Best Bets

 3-2 last week with my first loss on my best best.

One thing you can't figure out before a game is turnovers which on an under and over can make a huge difference and 11 turnovers made a big difference. Easy win with UCLA though.

Best Bet Florida State -13.5 (-120) Last year FSU was one season away from where they are now and it really shows. Last year OU/FSU was one of the most physical games I have ever seen in college football and it carried through to the Clemson game. This year FSU comes in with an extremely DEEP team which is the MAJOR differerence in this game along with the playmakers that FSU now has in their running game. Everyone wants to talk about Clemson and their offense but forget to mention how young their Oline is which is going to get massacred against the best D line in the country. Venebles knows FSU but Clemson defense still needs a couple of year and few more players to be able to stop this offensive unit that should dominate in all facets. Clemson has some great skill players but Boyd has to be upright in order to get the ball to him and he will be running for his life the entire game. This is not the same FSU team as the year before while Clemson comes into this game weaker on the offensive side of the ball and not much better on the defensive ball from the previous year. Depth is one of the biggest problem and it will show over the course of the game. The best players for Clemson are all on the offensive sides of the ball while FSU has playmakers on both sides of the ball, homefield, revenge and the coaching edge.

Tulsa -5  Fresno states win over Col doesnt look so great now as from every article I have read Col is in a ton of trouble. TU is better on both sides of the ball and obvious line value as Fresno's blowout of Col means nothing.

Oregon over 77

Oregon 1st half

This is Oregon 1st true "GAME" as Kelly has held all of of his players back especially in the 2nd half. Arizona defense is "young" to put it nicely and have absolutley no depth which means late in the game IF Kelly keeps his starters in the entire game it will be easier for Oregon to score as both offenses play ultra fast. The problem is Oregon has the depth to play at that p.ace and have been playing against the Black Mamba in practice and others for a long time. Zona now has to play against the real deal for an entire game. I find it amusing how people talk about Oregon giving up all of these points when they are up by 40. Thomas last week got 6 touches. Zona's offense looked great getting 4 ints and playing at home against a terrible defense but now face Oregon in Eugene against the best player in college football for 4 qtrs. Lets see what happens when Oregon players get to play the entire game. Should be interesting.

Correction 2-1 on my Best Bets

I hate playing 11am games because they seem like death nail for me but I will lay down one.

Fl -23.5 (-120)  The only reason I like this game is because of what Muschamp has been saying about finishing 4th qtrs and then actually seeing it in the game against A&M and Tenn. Texas A&M was dominating them in every fashion with 265 yards in the first half and FL basically needs a shutout in the 2nd half to win that game and what do they do is shut them out at Texas A&M. Then they play AT TENN and in the 2nd half make adjustments and finish in the 2nd half and 4th and dominate. In order to cover big spreads your defense has to play like this the entire game. Obviously FL was playing against top level competition so its not the same comparison to Oregon but it does show me that I dont see FL just shutting it down defensively in the 2nd half. Fl dominates this game every year and now are at home after 2 huge wins. FL defense is the real deal and Kentucky doesnt have anything offensively that will present any problem for FL.

OU -13.5

Normally I never take OU as one of the cardinal rules in gambling is never take your team so this will be a very small play as because the one thing that is still unknown about OU is their Oline which IS THE GAME. If OK can protect Jones and Williams and Whaley are able to run the game enough to give Stills his chances OU should handle them. Historically this game is a given but OU also usually plays some type of non-conference game before conference play. One person who I think will have a big impact in this game is Justin Brown a transfer from Penn State. OU over the last few years has has ZERO special teams and Brown gives them an edge however punt coverage will be important as well as it seems OU gives up a bust or two every game especially after they score. Anyone that watches OU knows that play calling has been a big problem for them as Stoops wants to run the ball no matter what which is why if the O line will be such a big deal in this game. Jefferson sat out last week but will be back. OU at home, off a bye and getting no respect. Kstate is a great bet as an away dog but Stoops OWNS Snyder and Kstate has nobody that is even close to being able to cover Stills who is big time. One other thing that hasn't really been talking about is OU's defense which I think will be a strength for them this year. Mike Stoops is back and will have plenty of wrinkles in the game to confuse Klein.

Two things...Out of curiosity, what is your prediction of final score FSU/Clemson game?   And what is your thoughts on Arkansas -7 now that Wilson is cleared to play? Mahalo.

wow jlosingmoney has some serious problems. I mean I know he wants attention but come on. HE BUMPED HIS OWN THREAD. He is now posting links to my threads and is so stupid that I am 2-1. If HE COULD READ he would know that.

As far as the FSU game I think Clemson comes into this game a little overrated because whenever you have HIGH PROFILE PLAYERS like Boyd and Watkins you seem to get more respect even though football games are won in the trenches where Clemson has 3 new starters on the Oline and still has a weak Defense even though they are better coached this year. However I have FSU with a slightly better offense and a huge disparity on defense. Plus you factor in home field with revenge. Clemson's offense scored 26 against  HORRIBLE Auburn team. I dont see them scoring more than 21 while FSU depending on turnovers should put close to 40. As far the Arkansas game, Wilson will play but Rutgers defense is decent. The line is ripe considering you have an SEC team at home laying a TD and I think there is a ton of line value as Ark lost to Monroe but when Wilson was in there it was turning into a blowout then he got knocked out. I have no intentions of playing it because its just such a mess with their coach filing Chapter 7 and all of that I mean geez. Wilson is a great qb but that Oline cant protect anyone. He takes one good shot he is OUT.

Making Oregon -13.5 First half a Best Bet

With everyone pounding Zona the line has droped to 22 allowing the first half line to come under 14. If the line drops to 21 I will be taking Oregon like I said this is the conference opener which means more than any non-conference game. Yes Zona has a better offense this year than previous years but they don't have anything capable of stopping this runaway train.

Definitely a rough day. Backdoor cover on FSU, Tulsa gives up 2 Ints for Td's and have first and Goal at the 18 and still cant punch it in. I had Oregon at 12.5 and 13.5 so you either got lucky or unlucky but Zona had so many chances. It looked like it was Oregon first game but their defense is stout. Jdnmoney is in LOCKUP
