I think some people need to spend a little more time reading instead of jumping to conclusions.  The OP doesn't say anyone is paying the refs.  There is a belief out there for many people that the tradition rich programs of the country get the benefits of the calls more times than not.  It is not about anyone being paid off.  If is a subconscious thing most likely where officials simply have a hard time throwing flags for the exact same things if committed by certain teams.  It is almost like the officials think on the one hand that this player is from Alabama, or Texas. or OU, or USC and think the player doesn't have to commit a penalty to be successful.  But if a player from lesser programs performs the exact same play there is a subconscious belief in the back of the mind of some officials that they think that player must of done something wrong to gain an advantage.

Has nothing to do with anyone being paid off.

I think it's just human nature and it's always been that way. Excellent point

Butch Jones confirmed this afternoon with local beat reporter that Worley would play and that he will be 100%

Nobody is saying Bama is paying refs but what he's saying is that Bama is the SEC favorite child and they do get favorable calls. I have seen it for years. You really notice it by Alabama's offensive lineman. They are coached to hold and they do it in a way that the refs look the other way. Just watch the Bama lineman closely the next time you watch them play. Now my question is if Bama's gonna do it and get away with then why don't their opponents do it too. Probably because they would get called for it. I think is subconscious on the refs part. I know this may sound crazy to some but I have seen it going on for years. I actually yell at the TV every time I watch Bama play, HOLDING!!!!

LSU is a sucker bet... hate to say it!

That will be the most heavily bet underdog this weekend, and the most heavily bet ML this weekend!  I said the same thing about Duke last weekend, going into Miami...

LSU will not cover... they will not keep it respectable! They are out of their league, and this will be the first game in what will be one of the more impressive runs we have ever seen in CFB...

If you can get Auburn at (-7.5), I would highly recommend laying off at least half of what you bet on LSU...

Changing gears... what do you think about this A&M - Miss St matchup?  Since the line is just asking us to pick a winner, I think there is a lot of value on Miss St at home... I think they are the better team, coming off a bye, playing a fairly over-rated Aggies squad that just had a fairly exhausting game against Arkansas... would think Miss St wins this about 60% of the time, which is good enough for my money!

    Thoughts?

    pick 1 & 2

    LSU + 9   10 UNITS

    TENNESSEE  EVEN    5 UNITS.

(Keep a eye on qb Worley for Tennessee and make sure he will start) I am pretty sure he will.

Good call Carter.  I've stayed away from my dudes for years but they've got the mojo this year.  Florida's streak of 9 over the Vols ends this weekend like Georgia's should have the past two years.  There's something to say about heart and good call on the Worley factor.  That dude is the grease that makes the machine go.  With him, take the Vols up to -7.  Without, make sure it's below 3.

Keep laughing War but I am right and you will see Saturday just how good ole miss is defensively. Not saying Ole Miss will win but Ole miss has the better defense. Ole Miss has given up only 2 touchdowns in 4 games and that being in the last  minutes of the Boise and the Lafayette game against ole miss scrubs.

Since this is the SEC section, I'll say who I'm playing. Really like Miss St and I'm a Aggies fan. Tennessee and Auburn because of revenge and better coaching. Bama because of Bo Wallace!!!

After 4 years you'd figure he'd make better decisions on where and how to throw a football. Ole Miss D keeps them in the game but turnovers from Wallace makes the Rebels a loser this week.

Boise is not the same Boise anymore...and the others aren't ranked better than 90 in offense.  I just think the media is pumping the Ole Miss defense up to something its not.

Ole Miss- Bama is a no play for me because there are too many key variables each way..... 1) Bama with two weeks to prep 2) Is Sims still dinged up, and what would another couple of shots on him affect him? 3) Can Sims perform like a star away, against a top D, in a hostile environment? 4) Will Bama use the Ole Miss bulletin board smack as motivation again this year? 5) Will Ole Miss be too pumped up with all the hoopla? 6) Will Chris Kiffin be the one who can read his brother's mind and anticipate his calls better than anyone else has so far? 7) Will Bo Wallace throw picks, or not be trusted to open it up by the coaches?

I don't see Ole Miss scoring much and Bama won't have to and will run the ball and play smart.

One of the stronger SEC plays I'm looking at is the

Tex AM / Miss state over 67

The Bdogs have a well-rounded offense that AM will have problems with and Tex AM has a strong passing game, which is the Bdogs weakness.  If the weather is right, I see a game approaching the 80 mark.  Maybe I'm crazy.

A lot of folks out there in TV land are realling bragging on the Bulldog defense, plus AM help Arkansas to 28 points.  I think that is what has the line in the 60s instead of the 70s.
